Just Another Day At The Office?

I have a huge problem.  No Razorback clothes to wear to the game.   I trashed a huge bunch after last season because of their losing ways.  If anyone has a t-shirt (X or XL) or hat that is a proven winner that otherwise would stay home, let me know.

Marcia at the Orange County Register thinks the Hogs will be motivated by last year’s loss.  Imagine that.  Revenge?  That would be oh, so nice.

Speaking of last year, I went back into the RazorBloggers archives and checked out the drivel we produced following last year’s game.  You will see that both Tipster and I were not happy that it appeared we were more than a bit out-coached as well as out-played.

This link takes you to my weak ‘attempt to be somewhat thoughtful’ post a few days later, recognizing that getting ‘blown out’ happens to the best of us.   No way we were as bad as that game turned out.  The fact that later in the year we played the #3 and #4 ranked teams in the nation dead even proves that.

While the players are surely motivated, the coaching staff should be even more so.  You think they don’t have something to prove?

“I think they have to play Mustain at some point,” an SEC assistant told me. “Houston Nutt is used to calling the plays. They hired that high school coach (Gus Malzahn) to do that. (Quarterbacks coach) Alex Wood is an NFL guy who’s taking direction from a high school coach. Nutt has his brother on the staff. There are a lot of personalities. It’ll be interesting to see how that thing plays out.”

Win, lose, or draw, I hope to see a well coached bunch of Razorbacks on the field Saturday night playing really smart football.  No middle linebackers covering 4.4 speedsters.  No giving up four touchdowns in eight plays.  Let’s start this year off right by kicking these guys back to California.

Be sure and check out all the stadium rules.   Be loud and proud and bring plenty of cash for the concession stands.

    We've been jinxed… it's over…. we're definitely finished…

Corso AND Holtz have picked us to win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dadgummit, I was hoping to sneak up on USC. I'm afraid that they're not going to be anything but a little miffed at the fact everyone is NOT picking them to repeat the blowout and especially if some of these talking heads are picking them to lose. Carroll will play that over and over to them tomorrow… we're in for a battle.

  2. I don't know about the Holtz thing, but there is definitely something to the Corso issue. Corso has made a career out of picking against the Razorbacks. Now that he has changed his tune, my suggestion is that you get all your affairs in order because the end of the world is definitely upon us…

I HOPE YOUR STADIUM STAFF ADDED ANOTHER DIGIT FOR THE VISITING TEAM FOR THE USC GAME. WE COULD HAVE SCORED 100 POINTS AGAINST YOU HOGS LAST YEAR.. ARE YOU REALLY SERIOUS ABOUT STARTING A 5'9" LINEBACKER AGAIN?

IT'S GOING TO BE ANOTHER TRACK MEET WITH USC WINNING ALL THE HEATS AND FINALS.

WAIT TO YOU SEE THE USC DEFENSE, THEY COULD START IN AND DO WELL ON THIS MONDAY NIGHTS NFL GAME. MY TIP TO YOU

    RAZORBACK FANS.

STOP WHINNING, RECRUIT BETTER, PLAY AND PRACTICE HARDER.

10KHog and RazorbackCast…you think the fact that ESPN is televising the game had something to do with Corso's pick? The Especially Shameless Promotion Network.

Tom Day…or, excuse me, TOM DAY…thanks for STOPPING BY. Try to find the key RIGHT ABOVE the left shift on YOUR KEYBOARD. Thanks.

TOM DAY … I think what everybody is trying to say to you is -it's 'rude' to shout. Enjoy the hospitality.
