They showed a lot of heart last night. I was proud of them. I was also proud of the people in the crowd. The area was far from full, but when the team needed a lift, the fans lit the place up. It was an awesome atmosphere.

Make you wonder if we are about to get rid of the wrong coach…

I was very impressed with the fight in our guys last night almost like it was personal like Mstate talked about there moms.

HJHog, just becuase they won the game doesn't take away from the fact they could not in-bound the ball. After the Tennessee game, logic led me to believe something would be different in that regard. Instead, no screens were set and we gave the ball away almost as many times on inbound plays as we did against Tennessee.

Tennessee was quoted saying we used the same "play" to inbound the ball against them in 2006. That shows me a lot of creativity and progress.

The only reason we won the game last night is because Miss. St. made our players mad. It wasn't because of coaching.

Did anyone else see the pop to the gonads that Gary Irvin gave to Rodrick Rhoads, after Rhoads porposely chest-butted him? I'll give Irvin some credit on that one. I'm a short guy too, and can't stand a bully. (You better cover those privates if you wanna keep 'em.) Also, if that's what it takes to get Steven Hill fired up from time to time, i'm all for it! Stan is a heck of a nice guy, but too nice seems to be his coaching mentality. If he would cop an attitude with his players a little more often, I think they would respect him even more in the long run, and I think his players would play at a fired up level more consistantly than they have been. We all seen what happened at the end of the Miss. St. ball game. Wouldn't it be nice to see that kind of fire for a whole ball game? Being too nice can cripple a players potential. I believe the hogs have thrown away a hand full of ball games this year because of this resistance by Stan Heath to get a little tougher with his players. Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina, and Auburn, represent 3 away games, and 1 home game we probably would have won if there had been a little more mental toughness, as a team. A team is a reflection of thier coach. Too nice just doesn't get the job done. Barring a fight doesn't break out early in the Vandi game, we will probably see the same 'ol, same 'ol. Good luck Stan, I would love to see you prove me wrong. GO HOGS!!
