Very disappointing. At worst, I figuerd Arkansas would at least compete in a close one. Hogs way too talented to be getting run over like this. There is somthing missing, and the coaching really comes into question now.
Like shooting fish in a barrel. What is the old saying, a camel is a horse design by committee. Hiring coaches by committee doesn't work. Neither Houston nor Stan was in anyway qualified to coach in the SEC. Houston has kept his head above water until now and Stan is a good recruiter but neither belongs here. You are actually supposed to earn your way to this level for a reason.
Image if we had Tommy Tuberville and Bill Self right now where we would be. Yes J. Frank, the queen mother, would have to dig into his pot of gold. But, that is not actually his money. That money was given by fans for the success of the program.
Oh, I forgot to mention, we opened in zone defense against a guard oriented team that likes the 3 pointer.
Brilliant!!
With our bench, that's the best we could come up with? Boggles the mind.
BlindHog you hit the nail on the head in your analysis. Stan has many fine qualities, but he is not getting it done here and we need a change now.
I don't want to even dip my toes in the football mess, but I agree with your comments on HDN as well. The common denominator in all this is FRANK BROYLES.
Pitiful Effort!!
It pains me to even write this. I was hoping that Coach Heath was the man. As most have said he sure carries himself with class and dignity. Unfortunatly that doesnt pay he bills. I'm sorry Coach but you may just not be ready for this level of Basketball nor either is your staff. You truely are a great guy but not the motivater we need at this time.
We pretty much stink. We need a couple of 6'9'' Beverly's and we'd be alright.
bev was 2 for 8 with 5 to hope those are not the 6'9 guys you want.
I'm just saying we need two big guys with his intensity.
