    Way to go Hogs! We'd all like to win some of these championship games, but you can't win them if you don't play 'em. Three trips to SEC championship games. Hardly a program in shambles. I think it is quite possible that 10 yrs from now we'll look back longingly at a time when we competed so well in the SEC. What a great time to be a Razorback!

    I thought Frank had been around a little too long 20 years ago, but let's not lose sight of what he has accomplished. If not for Frank we could be Ole Miss or South Carolina.

    This is a dangerous team to play right now. Chances are good for Omaha. GO HOGS!!!

  3. All things considered and how they finished the last three SEC weekends, we couldn't have hoped for much better. The # 7 National seed should work nicely.

  4. BlindHog says:

    The seed is terrific. We couldn't have asked for more. But, anytime you get this far it is anybody's game. We need to play our best. Personally I wish we would start our third pitcher on Friday and save the really big guns for the weekend.

    Frank and Wilson Mathews accomplished a great deal with the national title even if it was not AP. You have to look back at the whole history of Hog football though. The powder river play and beating Ole Miss gets attention for real reasons as well as the the 25 little pigs. Those were national accomplishments against nationally ranked teams. The table was set for Frank and Wilson when they arrived.

    As I said before, hiring Eddie Sutton and creating a national basketball program along with Norm and John creating national baseball and track programs are equally impressive accomplishments which may say more about our real potential in football. Frank's handleing of the football program based on the previous 30 years in somewhere between mediocre and respectable. Moving to the SEC was maybe his best move in 50 years.

    All that said, we may look back in 10 years and wonder why more was not accomplished, not less. Arkansas has its' place on the national scene. If we get the right AD (and get rid of White) we might accomplish a great deal.

    dont get your hopes up HOGS! Your gonna get smoked by The Cowboys of Oklahoma State! See ya on the field!

    Bone up on your NCAA "ambidextrous" pitcher rules folks cuz Creighton has one that can "turn around" on the mound.

    Here's a quick look at part of the rule -

    k. Pitch both right-handed and left-handed to the same batter during a plate

    appearance (ambidextrous-pitcher rule).

    PENALTY—If a pitcher changes pitching hands during a batter’s time at bat, the umpire shall:

    (1) Call a balk if a runner(s) is on base;

    (2) Call a ball for an illegal pitch if no runner(s) is on base;

    (3) Warn the pitcher; or

    (4) Eject the pitcher if the offense is repeated.

    A.R. 1—When facing a switch hitter, an ambidextrous pitcher shall declare the hand with

    which to pitch to the hitter.

    A.R. 2—If a pinch hitter replaces a batter during a turn at bat, the pitcher may change

    pitching hands.

    UnderHog – you are amazing

    Is this serious? They have a switchpitcher? That's amazing if true. That's worth the price of admission just to see. I mean, he can't change gloves during the inning can he?
