AP: Williamson retires to become college assistant
Corliss Williamson announced his retirement Wednesday after 12 seasons in the NBA — and was introduced as a new assistant coach at Arkansas Baptist College. The move is a return home for Williamson, who was born in Russellville and led [Nolan] Richardson’s Arkansas Razorbacks to the national championship in 1994.

The memories I have of Corliss, are some of my fondest. He was the first Razorback basketball player, since Sidney Moncrief, that captured my attention to that magnitude. One of my fondest memories was the Memphis game in the '93-'94 season. In that game, I realized we were THE dominate force in college basketball that year. Corliss demanded respect inside the paint, and not even double-teaming him could slow him down. He was a man among boys! Thanks for the memories Corliss, you will never be fogotten.
