Congratulations to reader T-towner for the closest prediction last week of 56-10. His quote: “Who knows anymore? Not me! Guessing game.” Well actually…yes T-towner…it was. And you made a completely random guess of how lopsided that game would be and…(drum roll)…won a RazorBloggers t-shirt courtesy of Carpenter Clothing Co.! (Okay…we realize it’s not the same thing as winning at McDonald’s Monopoly. We’ll try harder next year.)
In the RazorBloggers mini-contest, for the second time this season HogBaller and I tied with our own random guesses. And for the second time we were both awarded with one point for no logical reason. (Mainly because it’s too dang confusing to keep track of half points.) So after four games: HogBaller 2, TipsterHog 2, Sunshine and HogBlogger…1 point each.
So here we go:
Walking on Sunshine: Unless former Moccasin and current Dallas Cowboy Terrell Owens suits up on Saturday night, I can’t see UTC scoring on the Hogs. Coach Herring will do whatever it takes to get the shutout…even inserting the starters again late like he did last week when leading by 52. Arkansas 62, Chattanooga 0.
HogBaller: Demand for tickets to this game has been unbelievable…with some spotted on eBay for upwards of $1,000. It must be just to get a glimpse of McFadden and Jones since this should be another blowout where the Hogs work on their passing game and give the backups plenty of PT. Arkansas 65, Chattanooga 3.
HogBlogger: Hogs roll in the Rock. We will see more passing game and the defense will dominate. Arkansas 48, Chattanooga 10.
TipsterHog: I’m sure this is exactly the kind of big-time game that Warren Stephens was dreaming of during the ‘Great Stadium Debate.’ This blowout will get so embarrassing…Waste Management will request that their logo be taken off the field at halftime. Arkansas 52, Chattanooga 0.

Well, our schedule is embarrasing…or so the broadcasters in Alabama say so. I heard a few days ago on the radio in Huntsville that the Arkansas coaches and AD should be ashamed for this year's schedule. They believe it was done simply to pad DMac's stats and that the Hogs cannot take care of business with "real" teams.
Since I live in Alabama, I hear all about Alabama and Auburn and then trash on the Hogs. Any comments on the paddy-cake schedule we have to defend?

D-Mac and Felix each have 100 yards in the first quarter (LOL) and we rack up 1000 yards total offense……….not bad for a days work!!

Hogs 44 to 10 over Chattanooga. The second team defense will give up a few points to Chattanooga, and the duo of McFadden and Jones will get another chance to cool their heels in the second half of the game by wearing baseball caps on the sideline.

Well, I didn't get any Bama trash flack after we came back on them twice…there is some respect there. Same with KY. But, with such pre-season expectations and knowledge from the last three games last year, I would have expected better leadership from Nutt. So, I'm disappointed…still a rabid fan, but disappointed thus far. Even an 80-0 romp over the Mocs won't help much.
Beating Auburn and then one of the three, SC, TN or LSU would go a long way!
This could be even worse than last week. Enjoy while you can, Hogs. The season resumes next weekend!

Another "fund raiser" game that can be pawned off on LR to meet the quota. This game, and 2 or 3 others, have no merit, other than for "fund raising". A bye week in the FIU spot would have been much more beneficial.

People always gripe about schedules, but guess what, we’re coming off of 4 years in a row where we scheduled a top 10 team outside of the SEC, and next year we pick it up with Texas again. No, I think it’s a pretty cheap shot to talk smack about our schedule and it’s poor research on their part.

This schedule is a bit of an anomaly but you wouldn’t expect Bama radio to look that deep. TCU was on the schedule for a home and home starting this year and then got dropped due to some conflict from our adding Texas next year from a home and home. God, I wish we had kicked Bama’s ass. Not sure we didn’t cause them a loss or two but that’s no consolation. I’m not picking this game. Hopefully we are focused and getting ready for Auburn. Lord knows we have nothing to get the big head about. Its all about Auburn at this point!

I'm not sure what the big "hoo-haa" over the 'Bama radio brodcasters is all about, but you can bet they would die to have a back like D-MAC, since he ran for a 195 on thier "dominance". I am curious though why a very average Florida St. team didn't just roll over and play dead for them?

the only real question here is… “how much do we play d-mac and felix ?” the need to pad their stats for national recognition vs. the need to keep them off the field to prevent injury.
