ArkansasRazorbacks.com: Washington Named Classic MVP After 67-51 Victory

Four Razorbacks had double figures in a 67-51 victory over Stephen F. Austin Saturday evening at Bud Walton Arena in the Jim Thorpe Classic finale.  The victory marks Arkansas’ 40th consecutive home win over a non-conference opponent and snaps the Lumberjacks’ six-game win streak.

    Not bad. Stephen F. Austin isn't exactly a name that reaches out and grabs you, but they are a pretty respectable team.

    The Hogs are getting better. That part is easy to see. Are they good enough to give teams like OU and Texas a good fight? Not sure yet, but I feel a little bit better about that now than I did a few games ago.

    Fortson and Clarke have come a little bit farther this time a year than I exspected for Freshmen. Henry seems, at times, a time bomb waiting to explode, and now Moore seems to be doing all the little things right like playing solid, overall defense and scoring when he gets the ball inside that 10 ft. range.

    Only time will tell.
