It’s good to hear Pel talking in his normal voice again. He might actually have an intersting personality if he can get all this controversy behind him and recover his winning confidence. Being the second-highest-paid employee on the AR state payroll oughta assuage some of the pain he has endured at the hands of radical RazorBloggers.

Also good to get some PT and scoring from the bench. This team is starting to exceed expectations, which is nice for a change. Winning the SEC West is now a realistic possibility for this ragtag bunch. Still there’s the nagging thought that they could revert to their former ways at any time.

I’m encouraged by this win. We played smart. Kudos to CJP.

I know we played a suprisingly lousy basketball team last night, and everyone already knew going in that we should win this game, but in the past, these are the kinds of games we usually either somehow lose or at least struggle with from lack of execution or from lack of effort.

These kids seem to have learned from CJP the importance of a bench.

The kids came out, played with intensity in the first half and kicked LSU around. They put them away early, enabeling them to play the bench as much as they wanted.

Way to go, CJP. You got your guys prepared to go on the road for a tough test against ‘Bama. We should be well rested for this one.

Courtney only had to play 25 minutes last night, and J. Nobles is starting to come around. Now that’s what i’m talkin ’bout!

    GO HOGS GO, BABY!!!!!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Very impressed with the way Washington got after it on the boards last night. Also had 3 blocks.

He didn’t get frustrated with himself for not shooting well, just kept playing hard. The whole team did. That’s the kind of leadership and overall team play you have to have to win.

Yay! Another win! Like Gonzo says, it’s nice to see the team win games that have been typically lost in the past.

These kids seem to have the confidence that they will win every time they go out on the floor. It’s great to see the team peaking and looking towards the #1 seed in the West going into the SEC tourney. Still a ways to go to finish strong.

    Go Hogs!

Agreed with Gonzo, too. This was a typical trap game, but we played through that. Keep it up, boys!

Enjoyed this game immensely. As noted above, even the best of Hog basketball teams have tended to lose focus when playing a lousy foe. We ate the Bayou Bengals alive and it feels good!

I’m pleased. A lousy LSU team yes, but, we didn’t play down to our competition. That is an actual mark of maturity. It was like a non-conference game in the sense that we were able to develop an offensive flow against a lesser team which may pay dividends down the road. When they lost focus and started to play sloppy Pel simply put in the second string rather than try to get 5 more minutes from the starters. Another dare I say it, mark of maturity. And, last but not least, Pel stopped whining and sounded like a basketball coach again. He almost acted like the coach of the team leading the West. Another win or two and it will be time to act like a front runner. Arkansas should always live with high expectations. Now is a fine time to remember that.

Oh, how sweet it is!! Thumping the Bayou Bengals at anything, anytime is just a fun thing to do. About the only thing that could have made it more fun would be to thump those booger eating fart sniffers at Ole Miss by a point or two more.

    GO HOGS!!!!

      LMAO! Nice.

The best thing about the Hogs resurgence is that now all the bloggers and common-taters are writing like Hemingway.

I’m not predicting a win at ‘Bama, but I like our chances to knock off the Tide at Coleman Coliseum much better now than I did before the LSU game.

We should be much fresher going into that game now.

If we play smart basketball, not get frustrated when the calls don’t go our way, (and you know they won’t) stay focued as a team and not commit silly fouls and turnovers down the stretch of the game, we should be able to pull off a win.

A lot of what’s going to happen down in Tuscaloosa will depend on Mike Washington. He has to have a solid game.

JaMicheal Green is a very good Freshman PF. If he has a breakout game inside, it could mean trouble for the Hogs.
