ArkansasRazorbacks.com: Hogs drop series finale at LSU

Brett Eibner and Collin Kuhn both had two hits Sunday afternoon for the No. 13 University of Arkansas baseball team in a 5-1 loss to third-ranked LSU at Alex Box Stadium.

    This was a really disappointing series for me personally. I thought the Hogs had LSU right where they wanted them for 6 1/2 ennings in yesterdays game 2.

    The bottom seemed to fall out with the pitching change of Smyly. Possibly our young closers were intimidated a bit and couldn't recover.

    I had a sense today that the complete fallout from that game carried over.

    I love this team though. The experience they gained from this series on the road will be invaluable later on.

    Van Horn is a good teacher. He'll use this.

  2. Gonzo you are spot on…the Hogs just couldn't get that momentum back after the 7-run 7th on Saturday. These series are all about momentum. We were looking good for a game and a half there.

    LSU doesn't have near the team they had last season. The SEC is definately up for grabs.
