ArkansasRazorbacks.com: Baxendale, McKinney lift UA to win

Sophomore DJ Baxendale threw the first complete game of his collegiate career, giving up three runs, while Jarrod McKinney broke a 3-3 deadlock with a solo home run in the eighth inning to lift Arkansas to a 4-3 win over No. 5 Florida in the series opener on Thursday night at Baum Stadium.

Great win by the Hogs last night. Baxendale really competed. While McKinney’s homerun was the winner, Kuhn’s homerun was huge, tying the game at 3-3. After that HR, I think collectively the fans and players thought, “hey we can win this thing if we can just push another run across”.

Florida is good…really good.
