ESPN.com: Arkansas puts away Vandy to move to 16-0 at home

Ricky Scott scored 18 points and the Razorbacks equaled their Southeastern Conference-best with nine 3s in pulling away to an 82-74 victory over No. 25 Vanderbilt on Tuesday night.

When you consider how outmatched we were inside, the Hogs played this one really well. Of course, a huge amount of the credit goes to our uncanny outside shooting, especially in the second half.

That was like old times last night. Crowd was really active. The temperature – either from the 60 degree weather outside or from Mike turning the thermostat up in the building – reminded us when Nolan used to crank up the heat.

Hogs are so quick, that helped their cause when it came to loose balls, and toss-up rebounds. Everybody contributed too. Nobles carried them early, then Scott, Young and Mickelson took over the second half. Madden was clutch at the line down the stretch. Big FTs when the game was on the line.

I just wanted to recognize the team and congratulate them on a big win that almost got lost in the hoopla surrounding NSD. The coaches and players continue to amaze me with their play and their success despite their depleted roster. We have every reason to be optimistic about the future of Hawgball. Considering the situation you could think this would be the low point of Anderson’s tenure at Arkansas. Hope so. Go Hogs. WPS!!!
