SB Nation BlogPoll Ballot – Week 5

With LSU‘s surprising showing ‘Down on the Plains’ – a 12-10 squeaker over Aubie – we shuffle our Top 4 accordingly.  Oregon and Florida State both took care of business against ranked teams at home, with the Seminoles having the easier road now to the finish.

SB Nation BlogPoll Top 25 Logo 2QB Connor Shaw’s performance in South Carolina‘s 31-10 dismantling of Missouri caused us to jump the Gamecocks in our ballot this week.  Shaw’s 20-for-21 showing for 249 yards and 2TDs tells us things may be slowing down for the junior signal caller.

Our Team of the Week is Florida.  The Gators defense was swarming against an overmatched Kentucky team Saturday holding the Wildcats to just 60 yards passing.  Sophomore QB Jeff Driskel continues to gain confidence every week.  The Gators have a bye this week before hosting LSU on October 6…a nice setup for a potential upset?

And finally, we were a bit surprised to hear that there were 20,000+ empty seats at Neyland Stadium this past weekend as Tennessee escaped the Zips of Akron 47-26.  A bit of a hangover from the disappointing loss to Florida the week before.  Dooley needs a win this week at Georgia to cool the seat he’s sitting on.  Tough sledding we think.

You can find the complete BlogPoll here when it comes out each Tuesday. So, without further ado, here’s the RBN ballot this week:
