SB Nation BlogPoll Ballot – Week 8

The only constant in our ballot this week is at the top where Alabama and Oregon remain entrenched.  The Tide made quick work of Missouri, while the Ducks sat at home on their couch eating a big block of cheese.

SB Nation BlogPoll Top 25 Logo 2We did not punish South Carolina much for their loss in Death Valley.  The back-and-forth tussle with LSU was compelling TV all the way to the wire…either team could have won it.  The Tigers made fewer mistakes.

Kansas State stayed perfect in escaping Iowa State 27-21 in Ames…aka the “Starkville of the Midwest”.  The Wildcats were most certainly looking forward to their Top 10 matchup at West Virginia this week.  The Mountaineers however couldn’t navigate two straight weekend trips to Texas, and fell hard to Texas Tech in Lubbock 49-14.

Our team of the week is Oregon State, who stand at a surprising 5-0 on the year.  We have been a little slow to move the Beavers up, but maybe second guessing ourselves a bit on that.  With OSU’s starting quarterback Sean Mannion out for a few weeks to injury, Coach Mike Riley’s squad didn’t miss a beat with backup Cody Vaz (332 PaYds, 3TDs) at the helm as they drilled a good BYU team 42-24 in Provo.  The Beavers host Utah Saturday night.

You can find the complete BlogPoll here when it comes out each Tuesday. So, without further ado, here’s the RBN ballot this week:
