SB Nation BlogPoll Ballot – Week 12

With Alabama‘s surprising 29-24 upset loss to Texas A&M Saturday, the Oregon Ducks take over the top spot in our BlogPoll ballot this week.  The Ducks looked sharp in their 59-17 win over Cal, while new #2 Kansas State struggled (260 TotYds) to put away a pesky TCU team 23-10.

SB Nation BlogPoll Top 25 Logo 2When you think about it though, the performance by Bama wasn’t totally unexpected.  After a highly emotional win the previous week vs. LSU, the Tide looked flat to start, as A&M and freshman sensation QB Johnny Manziel rolled to a 20-0 first quarter lead.  Alabama needs help now to get back into the title game scenario.

For the second week in a row, we drop Notre Dame a spot in our ballot.  The Irish struggled to put away one of the worst teams in a BCS conference – Boston College – after eeking out a OT win over lowly Pitt the week before.  QB Everett Golson is improving every week though.

What in the world has happed to Florida?  After losing a heart-breaking game to Georgia a few weeks ago, the Gators have struggled to beat woeful Missouri 14-7, and Louisiana-Lafayette 27-20.  Two TDs in the last two minutes, including a blocked punt for a score, were needed to avoid the upset to ULL.  Even more staggering, Florida could only muster 162 passing yards against a ULL pass defense that had allowed 294.6 yards per game (114th nationally) coming into Saturday…eeesh!

You can find the complete BlogPoll here when it comes out each Tuesday morning. So, without further ado, here’s the RBN ballot this week:
