So what happens if everyone has one loss? It appears that is where this thing is headed. Notre Dame is the only unbeaten left (unless you count Ohio State), and they face a stiff test this weekend vs. USC.
Alabama has to be feeling like they are destined to win this thing again, as two of the teams ahead of them – Kansas State and Oregon – get picked off. The Wildcats loss to Baylor was the more shocking score, as the Bears out rushed KSU 342-76…wow.
It is likely the polls, including the BlogPoll, will have the Irish #1. Despite their perfect 11-0 record, the eye test tells us they are not the best team. A national championship matchup between Alabama and Notre Dame would likely be a two touchdown spread. We’re sure it wouldn’t hurt the Tide’s feelings if the Ducks were left out.
A ton of great games are on tap for this Thanksgiving weekend. Oregon-Oregon State, Notre Dame-USC, Michigan-Ohio State, Florida-Florida State and Clemson-South Carolina…all should make for another thrilling weekend. This thing is far from decided.
You can find the complete BlogPoll here when it comes out each Tuesday morning. So, without further ado, here’s the RBN ballot this week:
