Rod Odom scored 15 points, and the Vanderbilt Commodores beat Arkansas 67-49 Saturday to snap a four-game losing skid and get a bit of payback for one of their ugliest losses this season.

Pathetic in every since of the word. Build a huge practice facility or some da– thing, because clearly they can’t win on the road for some darn reason. That is one of the ugliest performances I’ve ever seen. Jacorey Williams, Hunter Mickelson, Ricky Scott, and Michael Qualls should be benched for the next 4 games, what’s the point, they didn’t do anything at all anyway. They stand no chance on Wednesday against Auburn, it took overtime to beat them at home, Auburn will humiliate them on Wednesday. And the coaching was pathetic also, where were the adjustments, when Powell went out?

Arkansas had about 6 guys that didn’t even show up, and they looked tired, clearly they’re not in shape, Vanderbilt was in much better shape, and was able to hit shots late, which means they are in better shape. Need to get these kids in shape, they got out worked.

Might as well forfeit the rest of the road games, and give the kids some rest, they don’t show up on the road anyway. That was ridiculous today.

Too many outside shots today and our D could not stop the drives to the basket. I disagree with the Qualls comment though. Even tho he shouldn’t be shooting jumpers, he brings energy. Mickelson… Get physical will you young man. It hurt more than it should when Powell got into could trouble. Vandy hit some big (lucky) 3s today that normally wouldn’t. Coach Anderson needs more of bis style players. Our basketball team WILL get better. Be patient Hog fans!

Outside shots are the only thing the D was giving us. They played a strech zone the majority of the game to clog the lane and stop the 3. That’s the prescription for beating the Hogs.

The Hogs have to get some mid range shooters to consistently win.

I’m a broken record: The Hogs need mid range jump shooters to win on the road. On the road, they have no inside game, Powell typically gets in foul trouble, and if we aren’t shooting the 3 lights out we can’t win. That is all mitigated by a mid range game.

The Hogs should be able to beat an opponent that scores below 70, period. The fact that we can’t shoot anything outside of 3-4 feet is what is keeping this team from being special.
