Pacific scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth, capped by a walk-off single from Eric Lockwood, to defeat Arkansas, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon at the Surprise Recreation Complex.

    Why do I have the feeling the baseball team’s fall from grace will rival that of the football team?

    They will bounce back. They are very talented and have a great coach. Football team was talented at some positions but not like this baseball team. Football team had Bozo the Clown as a leader – Van Horn is a great coach.
    I don’t understand this start to the season unless it is just a matter of 18-19 year old kids’ egos thinking they could go out and go through the motions.
    This early season set back could be a blessing in disguise. Baseball is a full season sport and champion is decided on the field in late season tournaments – a few losses early in the season doesn’t knock you out – and may knock the #1 target off your back for other opponents.

      I’m not as impressed with Van Horn; I wouldn’t call him ‘Bozo the Clown’ but…if this team is as talented as they appear and VH is as good as advertised, then no way this slide should have gotten this far, let alone continue.

      I guess we’ll just have to see.
