Congratulations to longtime reader and commenter OwassoHog for the closest prediction last week of 28-23. His quote: “B. Allen-less Hogs lose on the road. They fall behind quickly and never recover.” Ugh…after watching that ‘second half, rip-your-heart-out’ collapse, I kind of wish the last part of your prediction would’ve been right. But your score was (nearly) spot-on and, as the Hogs found out, in the end it’s the score that matters. Congrats OwassoHog…another RBN T-shirt is headed your way.
Here we go:
Walking on Sunshine: It’s hard to see a way this week. The Aggies ran up 628 total yards and 42 points against Alabama two weeks ago. Improvisation is impossible to scheme for. Not a good matchup, especially if the Hogs fall behind early. Texas A&M 48, Arkansas 28.
HogBaller: The one dimensional Razorbacks face Texas A&M without a real passing threat. In addition, the Hog defense has the unenviable task of trying to stop the most dangerous duo in the SEC in Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans. The playbook will need to be loosened up for this one if the Hogs have any chance of keeping it close. I’m afraid this one gets out of hand quickly. Texas A&M 48, Arkansas 17.
HogBlogger: Even Alabama had to play shoot-out with these guys. Unfortunately the Hogs have a shortage of bullets. Texas A&M 55, Arkansas 17.
TipsterHog: It really doesn’t matter who plays quarterback for the Hogs if the starting quarterback plays for A&M. Texas A&M 52, Arkansas 20.
