Bobby Portis scored a career-high 35 points in lifting Arkansas to a 65-58 win over Alabama on Wednesday night.

Now that was a player playing at his potential. I hope the team can see that effort and build on it. He was not going to let Alabama win tonight and it was nice to see someone with that attitude finally.

Hopefully, feeding the ball to Portis instead of jacking up threes becomes a pattern.

I been tellin’ ya, Portis is the man. One of the best freshmen in the country. He won’t be a Razorback for long. And how the rest of the team stank up BWA in this game. Pathetic. They wouldn’t have won this game on the road. I don’t see them winning any games on the road. I’ve supported Anderson and this team so far, but I am quickly losing faith. I’ve never seen a team shoot the ball so poorly. I just don’t get it. High school girls shoot better than these pikers. These guys miss dead layups. Other than Portis only one player made a field goal in the first half. How badly does that suck? I’m not making excuses for them any more. As one moderator said, paraphrasing, “When you’ve lost Roadhog you’ve lost Arkansas.”

I agree. It’s time to reevaluate the talent or the coaching. This team is not coming together; they are coming apart at the seams. That was an ugly, ugly mess. The only time they even resembled a basketball team was in a slow down half court game. These kids don’t play hogball. They show no judgement or shot selection. I will scream the loudest if they don’t give Mike enough time. I’ve said consistently that this was not their year. At this rate next year is not their year either.
