The media voting was released this morning by the SEC and the Razorbacks didn’t fare as well as they did in last week’s selections by the conference coaches.
As you would expect, Darren McFadden and Sam Olajubutu were voted to the first team. After that, however, only two Hog players were voted onto the second team: Keith Jackson on defense and Felix Jones on special teams. Four players were selected as third-team All-SEC.
And disappointingly, the Media Days Alabama bias continues with the Tide predicted to finish ahead of the Hogs in the Western Division. I can remember even during the “dark days” of Mike Dubose and NCAA sanctions, the Alabama media would always make sure that the Tide were “well represented” in the pre-season voting.
Don’t get me wrong…I think Alabama could possibly finish high in the West. Maybe even better than third place in the division with their young talent. But its hard for anyone to take these predictions seriously when the sheer numbers of Alabama media tend to skew the voting.
And that’s why they play the games…

I post on a blog called "Conquest Chronicles," which is a USC blog, and I'd be interested in talking to you guys about the upcoming 'SC vs Arkansas game. If you have any interest, come over and leave a post, or e-mail me.
