TipsterHog Thoughts – Southeast Missouri State

Not a whole lot to add over the good stuff that HogBlogger and Sunshine said below.  I will say I was pleasantly surprised with the crowd size (estimated 72,453).  On a beautiful day in the Ozarks, there was probably plenty of temptation for some to say, “With two more SEC games in Fayetteville, I think we’ll skip going to this one against a I-AA team.”  But I’m betting a big away game victory the previous week and being ranked helped some fans make the decision to attend.  Winning does that sort of thing.

And apparently, beating SEMO was a huge victory for our favorite AP poll voter.  You remember our old buddy Joe Medley.  Joe thought our victory over the Redhawks was much more impressive than the one over Auburn last week.  In fact, it helped the Hogs jump over ten spots on his “Star” AP ballot this week to #15.  Golly Joe…thanks.  Maybe if we beat Louisiana-Monroe in a few weeks, we might crack your top 5?  But I’m sure we’ll still be below Auburn, right?

Finally, we added a few new features to the site last week.  First, the new RBN Recruiting News page is now available in our Network News section.  As we move through the November and February signing periods, we hope this feature will help our readers to stay informed.

Second, we’ve added a feed from the ARSN web site to our automated Network News headlines.  Not only does the feed include Razorback-related articles from the Associated Press and other major news outlets, but also links to some of the great ARSN original content, like Schaeffer’s Corner.  Thanks to Ben over at ARSN Online for helping us get hooked up, and for the feedback and support he’s given to our site as well.

And as always, we continue to look for more suggestions on how we can make RBN even better.  We’ve got several great new features planned for the future and would love to hear your thoughts about how you think our little “science project” can be improved.
