this is the weakest schedule i've ever seen for a so called "contender". your SEC teams will not "give" you the strength of the schedule because you are not going to win those games. I really wish you would play the indians, i know you have nothing to gain, but damn that would be a fun game to watch in little rock.

p.s. I think that troy game is going to be an upset.

This schedule was not made to get us to a championship. It was made to get DMac the Heisman and secure us another 10 win season and sell tickets.

My only concern is the Chattanooga game. I don't mind them scheduling Sun Belt schools, but it doesn't help with the computers (who just throw the game out) and it certainly doesn't help in the mind of voters. Even being positive, suppose neither of the Mississippi schools improve, Bama struggles w/ a new coach (or isn't ever able to find one, ha) Kentucky falls back into mediocrity, and S. Carolina, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee all have down years, I could see Arkansas going 13-0 and their only quality win would be over a Fla/Ga team in SEC championship game and being left out of national title game like Auburn a few years back. Even scheduling a 4th Sunbelt game is better than a I-AA.

I'd like to remind everyone who is a bit "negative" about the schedule to remember that # 23 TCU was to be on the 2007 schedule. But when the opportunity to play Texas starting in 2008 came about, we jumped at it, and they had to drop the two-game series with TCU. Neither Arkansas or TCU wanted to play an away contest in 2007 with no return home game possibility.

Be Positive is right....the SEC slate will give you your "strength of schedule" numbers.

I look at it this way... we should be be a preseason top ten team going into next year. With that said, all we have to do is win to be considered for the BCS championship. Especially if we can win the SEC championship next year. We'll still have some quality wins with Auburn, SC, Tennessee, and LSU. With another good year in the spotlight, it will boost recruiting big time. We'll need it for when #5 heads of to the NFL after next season. I don't know about you all, I won't mind the schedule so much if we just win and (hopefully) develop our offense (unlike this year). If we do, we're looking at some great seasons ahead. Stay positive!!! It's a great time to be a Razorback fan...

this schedule is the defines "weak"... USC has Nebraska, Notre Dame and Oregon State on their non conference plate for 2007 and we have Troy, Chattanooga, North Texas and Florida International... Seriously if you want to be taken serious you need to get serious and we are obviously not serious.... we should throw teams like Kansas or CO in the Big 12, a below average Big 10 team like Illinois or Northwestern and some Big east team like Pittsburgh or Rutgers.... but hey what do I know, I also thought we would see a real Offense this year

2007 scheduled thoughts!

Troy - cupcake WIN
Alabama - TBD (new coach); could be good road victory
North Texas - cupcake WIN
Kentucky - we probably should win (esp. at home)
Chattanooga - cupcake WIN
Auburn - looking for revenge; at home MUST win
Ole Miss - we should win
Florida International - cupcake WIN
South Carolina - probably better team; at home MUST win
Tennessee - looking for revenge
Mississippi State - improved?; at home MUST win
LSU - kicking our you know whats again!

Basically, a LOT of cupcakes (too bad; this will hurt us) and a number of MUST wins. Probably could win 10 games and still NOT be impressive as a team. We need some better meat on the schedule (maybe not Southern Cal but something more that Troy, North Texas, Chattanooga, and Florida International)!
