Arkansas tailback Darren McFadden won the Doak Walker Award, an honor bestowed annually to the nation’s top running back, it was announced on ESPN at the 2006 Home Depot College Football Awards show.

Congrats D-Mac. He should win the heisman, too… and he would’ve if we could have finished the deal. Maybe next year.
Sorry to disappoint you 10KHog, but a sophmore has never won the Heisman and probably never will. However, next year McFadden will be the front runner. Congrats to D-Mac!
No sophomore had ever won the Doak Walker before last night, either. So, to say a sophomore won’t ever win the heisman is just as laughable. It can and will happen someday. I’d say he would’ve won the heisman if we would’ve taken care of business.
