Hogblogger, you are way off base on Gus. He is a very intelligent man and has the ability to use what he has to be successful. He stated several times that our receivers or quarterbacks are not ready to run a open passing game. Give the guy some credit for using his head and putting us in position to win 10 games straight.

My personal favorite was Nutt freaking out over the nonexistent pass interference call. Considering that the worst call of the year in the SEC (the obvious backwards pass/fumble) is how the hogs beat Vanderbilt, it was enjoyable to see the tables turned.

This has been a disappointing conclusion to an otherwise great year. I’ll try to sum up quikly, what could have been, and what could still be in store for next year — Two con sistant QB’s, one consistant KR, with a great returning defense — Hogs are in contention for National Tital.

What I want to see less of next year is losses.

Hawgfan100 – either Gus is simply doing what Houston Dale wants on the passing game or Gus is way over-rated. Personally, I think the jury is out on this.

Maguire said we had no passing game. We didn’t. When even he sees this it must be fairly obvious.

If we see even less of the same next year we’ll be down to 4 plays again.

Gus is fine. And neither he nor his offense in any way resemble anyone’s testicles…! As for the 2007 season, I will certainly expect less of the same.

Gotta laugh right now as there’s nothing fun about the way this season ended. When Paul Maguire makes sense about what’s wrong with our offense, it’s a dark day.

We had a month to prepare for a bowl game and, instead of the playbook expanding, it contracted – like ice cold testicles moving back up inside a man’s body! Obviously, the disease that has ravaged Houston Nutt’s heart and mind has spread to Gus Malzahn. 2007 season? Expect less of the same!
