Bill...that's true. And, of course, we'll continue to provide links to news articles about the track teams. We just don't usually post about them much.

Maybe we can get regular commenter HJHog to be our "Track Blogger." ;-)

A gentle nudge -- the season is not over. Both men's and women's track teams are at the nations this weekend, and while team titles may not be in the mix, individual national titles are.

Van Horn doesn't think it will be a rebuilding year... but, he never does.

It was certainly an exciting year, even with all the turmoil. The first time in SEC history that one school played for the Championship is Football, Basketball & Baseball. Granted we came up short in all of them, but I think it layed the foundation for greater things to come in the future. With the strong nucleous coming back on the Football & Basketball teams, I anticipate once again making a strong run at the title. However, it will probably be a bit of a rebuilding year in baseball.

Frank Broyles has done many things for our University and always had our best interest at heart and certainly deserves to go out with a bang and the highest praise.

Finally, with all the turmoil that was caused on the hill this year by the factions in Springdale, I hope that Tulsa is as close as they come to the U of A in the future.

Great Job RBN! Your site is very well done. I love the original photos and the great commentary.

It has been the most amazing year for Razorback Athletics. Hog teams played in SEC championship games in all three major sports, losing all three. The historic career of Frank Broyles came to a close in just about the only way thought impossible as he was forced out. A fan based united for at least the last 50 years has been divided beyond belief during a time that could be considered at least the threshold of a new era for Razorback sports. Perhaps those are just birth pangs as we take a step upward and onward to even greater success.

So, you picked a good year to get started.

I will have to say for me though it will always be the year of the missed opportunity. I believe that in the next few years that the spread offense will take over college football for about 10 to 15 years. I am sorry that Frank and Dale didn't see it that way. We almost had the perfect starter kit. Of course you never know. With the changing of the guard and Gus only a few miles away, perhaps in a year or two we will get a second chance.
