True Hog, you and the rest of the Nutt supporters aren't looking at the big picture. We can either move forward or accept 8-4 or 8-5 is the very best this school can produce. Take out the Springdale drama and he stil needs to take a hike. I bet your Aunt wouldn't run the ball up the middle when the defense has 8 people in the box either, but your Coach Nutt would.

TrueHog, Since your such an expert of the game, could you please enlighten me with some of your expertice? I,m sure, since you are a "True" Hog, you will know more than anyone else. Maybe you could explain to all of us "retards," what intelligent football really is. Is Grand Ma awake? Maybe she could explain it to me.

True Hog. OK, I do not know anything about football because I want Nutt to take a hike. Other than that:

We lost to Alabama----they know a lot about football----look at what they pay their coach.

We lost to Kentucky in spite of 373 yards offense in the first half. Oh, Kentucky knows football for sure!

We lost to Auburn and had no clue how to move the ball for over three quarters.

We lost miserably to a very, very mediocre Tennessee team that beat Vandy and Kentucky on form and reputation only.

I do not know anything about football, but I do know that anyone that lies to several recruits and his OC about the direction of the team, lies to everyone about his wife's involvement in email-gate and lies about the basic nature of 1100 emails to a single woman in a 30 day period is not the kind of guy I want in my program whether he knows about football or not.

You guys who keep slamming Nutt know as much football as my great Aunt and she's 96 years old and never been to a game. HDN deserves a contract extension and a corps of fans who know something about the game.

Too true Gonzo. It is pretty close to what we have all known, feared, and hoped against hope against. Frank has been about the money and all that entails for years. Football is just the PR vehicle with no real intention to compete. If Nutt stays or goes expect a new January PR campaign about Casey Dick and the pro-style offense to boost ticket sales.

It could still be the perfect timing to get rid of Nutt and get the fans back on board. As bad as this year has been another year with Nutt could get really ugly. Opportunities to boo will be at an all time high. I'm not sure that you can force a coach on a fan base against their will and not create a real train wreck. Nutt is as marketable as he is going to be for quite some time. If he is going to make a move this is his chance. The longer he stays the worse for him and the program.

And, Frank has lost some juice with the big boys. Sure PawPaw is still a legend in his own mind but the sparkle is off and will continue to fail the more he pushes losing positions. The real question is does White begin to work on his future departure or does he finally get a clue from Long that education and football can benefit each other as long as you realize that they are just sharing space and a name. One is a private entertainment medium and one is a public institution. If you combine Pawpaw's economics with White's drive to build the next Vanderbilt you will finally get a clean house on the hill or the end of the best fan base in America.

Arkansans love the hogs too much to let them be destroyed. Most of the fans will believe that Long is AD and hold him responsible for the failures. If he follows White's PR quidance he will not last long. After that, hopefully, White will be next. If they make a steaming pile out of this the Board will be forced to act.

Your right in everything you said BlindHog. 1 game doesn't make a coach. The season should be the focus of the UA officials. Broyles is still in charge, as we speak. Long is nothing more than an adviser to White, and may stay that way for some time. Broyles likes the way Houston coaches, and White likes the way Houston graduates his players. Broyles likes the way Houston gives him the most for his money, even though, overall, it's nothing more than mediocre. As long as Houston and his own personal "nit-wit" soap opera stay on the hill, we will continue to have mediocre football teams. Take a look at Scout.com. The players he's recruiting at the WR positions are either de-commiting, (looking around) or they don't have the Hogs very high on their list. 1 QB has already de-commited, and re-commited to Kansas. How many times did we throw to Monk in the LSU game? Oh yea, I forgot. That's not what we do. I have noticed there are no RBs or O-linemen de-commiting, but the best WR/RB/PR/KR recruit is going to USC, and the other highy sought after WR/RB/PR/KR recruit is now giving a "soft verbal." (looking around) It might be a great win to beat LSU in thier own back yard, in the middle of Nov., but only a fool would base this coaching decision, solely, on that 1 game. All coaches have thier day in the sun. Broyles duties will transfer over to the Razorback Fondation, after Jan. 1st, so this means he'll still be in direct connection with all the big "money people." Guess what else that means? He will still have a say in the amount of money given out to whomever is coaching, and that means he will still have a say in weather or not there will be a coaching change. Like it or not, Nutt will probably stay, unless Sexton can convince some other school to hire this man for a better contract. Nutt likes to claim he's a fighter, so his stubborn, bull-headed ways will probably kick into high gear, and insure us another wasted season. All I can say now is --- GO NUTT GO!!!!! LITERALLY!!!!!

THIS WAS A EXCITING GAME AND GREAT WIN FOR THE HOGS, HOWEVER I HOPE THIS DOESN'T MEAN WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO SUFFER THRU ANOTHER YEAR OF NUTT BALL. HE CAN ADD THIS TO HIS RESUME AND PROFILE AND LEAVE. I MEAN IF YOU NEEDED TO WIN TWO GAMES DOWN THE STRETCH TO SECURE YOUR JOB ISN'T IT TIME TO MOVE ON. WHAT TICKS ME OFF IS WE LOST TO ALABAMA, AUBURN, AND KENTUCKY WE SHOULD BE TOP FIVE AND IN THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME NOT GLAD TO BE GOING TO THE COTTON BOWL.

Reggie finally figured out this defense was not about his manhood. It only took 11 games. Not bad. Casey is about to develop into a QB. Maybe that will work well for somebody next year if he can find a few recievers. Maybe those freshmen can do the job. So, so sad what might have been, watching poor Houston stumble and bumble his way to 8-4 with a national title contender two years in a row.

All those who say it can't be done in NW arkansas need to take a look at the title shots wasted in Fayetteville during the Drama Queen's tenure. There were 5 in ten years. 98, 99, 03, 06 and 07. All of those teams could have competed, should have at least completed for an SEC crown. Dale should be known for mediocre results from good teams instead of for winning all of the big games that don't matter.

End the madness, Nutt has got to go.

What a way to end the regular season!!!!! Im so glad i taped this game over that Tenn game of a few weeks ago. A complete team effort and what no better way to send the seniors and moving on underclassmen out than to be celebrating in tiger stadium after knocking off the #1 team in the country, in about the most exciting game of the year in college football, and carrying that BOOT all the way back to Northwest ARKANSAS ( pronounced R-can-saw, u dum michigan fuk!). Kudos to the coaching staff for using P Hilis and letting him showcase his talent on national tv!!!(about time)
We all knew this team, with the weapons we have, was capable of doing this, ONLY FRUSTRATED AS HELL when we think about what might have been and what SHOULD have been. Thats the whole HDN ordeal in my opinion, nothing to do with any Springdale issue. HDN was right yesterday when he said "today we were the best team in the country." Just a damn shame it took u, HDN, SO LONG to put this great, innovative tripple option/wishbone package with the passing calls to the TIGHT END AND BACKS into play!!! Had the same weapons last year, with the millions HDN makes, these innovations should have been realized and utilized then, and with the DEFENSE we had last year, no doubt in my mind we would have been playing for a NAT CHAMPIONSHIP and wouldnt have lost those close end of the year games we were in. AND THOSE NAT CHAMP CHANCES DONT COME ALONG VERY OFTEN!!!!!!!! Thats the Frustrating what coulda been last year, and the same with close losses this year! It took HDN till the last game (regular season) of the career of all his weapons TO FINALLY GET IT!!!!! and unfortunately depriving the players, the school, and fans of a couple of PROBABLE conf championships, if not more. Too many flashes of COACHING and PLAY-CALLING IGNORANCE and not enough flashes of COACHING and PLAY-CALLING BRILLANCE(like yesterday), resulting in underachieving and leaving too much "money on the table" especially this season and the last, is MY problem with the head ball coach!! Oh, and the inability to keep in-state recruits and land and develop a decent QB, also.
Although, I will say that Casey Dick played an unbelievable game and was cool under pressure and his BIG completions on those 3rd and 4th down drive and GAME continuing drives was the reason we knocked off LSU! In other words, very UN CASEY DICK LIKE!! and what a block!! WHERE HAVE YA BEEN CASEY?
Anyway, hopefully an awesome end to the season in an electric Cotton Bowl Stadium, with another nostalgic AR/TEX matchup with the GOOD GUYS ending up on top. GO HOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe he could teach Les how to say ARKANSAS. It was kind of funny that Nutt was hollering to Lou Holtz and Mark May about taking another look at D-Mac for the Hiesman, while he was being interviewed by CBS. When showing highlights on ESPN, one guy said, "Hey don't those guys work for us?" I did agree with the statement though. If D-Mac isn't being seriously looked at by these guys to win the Hiesman, then something is seriuosly wrong with the system, when a guy has that type of performance, on national television, against the #1 defense in the land, in thier stadium? WOW!! 205 yds rushing - 34 yds passing - 2 rushing TDs - 1 passing TD, and taking most of the snaps, from behind center, for most of the 2nd half. There is 1 negative that could come back to haunt D-Mac. 17 fumbles on the year, while losing 8 of those on the year. It's anyone's guess now, but I'm rooting for him to win it anyway. Good luck D-Mac, you deserve it!

WHAT A GAME! I KNEW ONCE WE GOT INTO OT WE WOULD WIN. DON'T WE ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO WIN IN OVERTIME? GREAT PLAYING AND COACHING, YES,I DID SAY COACHING.COMPLETE GAME PLAN EXECUTED FOR THE MOST PART VERY WELL.I HOPE WE GET TEXAS IN THE COTTON BOWL SO DMAC CAN HAVE THAT CHANCE TO BEAT OUR TRUE ARCH RIVALS, BECAUSE HE WON'T BE HERE NEXT YEAR WHEN WE GO TO AUSTIN.AS FOR HDN I STILL WOULD LIKE TO SEE HIM GO,BUT WITH THIS WIN THE ONLY WAY HE IS LEAVING IS IF HE AND ONLY HE DECIDES TO.I DON'T SEE THAT HAPPENING. IN FACT HE MAY GET ANOTHER CONTRACT EXTENSION. AS MUCH AS I HATE TO SAY IT HDN JUST MAY BE A LIFER AT ARKANSAS. MAYBE SOMEDAY HE WILL LOSE HIS EGO AND LET SOME GREAT OFFENSIVE MIND COME IN HERE AND TRULY CALL THE PLAYS. LET'S ALL JUST GIVE UP THE NOTION THAT HE IS GONE.LET'S QUIT CALLING FOR HIS HEAD AND JUST WAIT MAYBE SOMEDAY HE WILL GIVE US WHAT WE WANT AND SURPRISE US ALL. NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE COACH NEXT YEAR IS NOT GOING TO BE PRETTY. NO DMAC,FELIX,HILLIS,MONK AND SOFORTH. THE CUPBOARD WILL BE PRETTY BARE NO MATTER WHO THE COACH IS.SO ENJOY HOPEFULLY A COTTON BOWL VICTORY OVER TEX,ANDTHEN PREPARE OURSELVES FOR POSSIBLY A 3 AND 9 SEASON NEXT YEAR.

Nice for these seniors to finally beat LSU. What we could have done all year if the coaches could have utilized everyone like they did tonight. Thanks to LSU for deciding not to show up on offense till the second half. Also nice to see the other team suffering with injuries instead of us. Look forward to watching the three riders of the apocalypse carry the ball on Sundays next year, Hillis, DMAC and Jones.

H-O-L-Y COW!!! I can't think of anything else to say! Congrats to the kids for thier determination and performance. I wasn't looking forward to this game, and believed they would find a way to lose, all the way up to the 3rd and last OT, but for the first time all year long, they hung together and played a great game. I can't remember the last time we played that kind of a game. D-Mac didn't win this one by himself, as he couldn't have done anyway, but for the first time, these Hogs found a way to utilize ALL thier talent, in one game. I feel good for the kids. They needed this game, and now it seems they will make it back to the Cotton Bowl. I think Hog fans benefit in 2 ways from this game; (1) With a big showing in the Cotton Bowl, D-Mac may actually win the Hiesman, and (2) the "Nutt's" coaching stock just went up enough to allow him to take another coaching job, for a tad bit more money. Hopefully, both will happen. GO HOGS GO!!!!!
