It would be easy to say the Hogs underachieved in this one, but considering how many big name programs have fallen to Div.II teams recently, I would have to say “job well done”. This team is blessed by having as much exsperience as they do talent. This will take them a long way with the coach they have in place now. Pelphrey in on a mission with these guys and exspects nothing but 100% effort on every play. Thier not there yet, but I have high hopes for this team to peak around late Febuary. The Hogs may not be in the top 10, but when your playing small programs that knowone takes seriously, and your ranked 19th in the country, you might as well be #1 as far as thier concerned. Looking forward to the rest of the season. GO HOGS GO!!!!!
I would say that the refs took Arkansas out of their game early. The whistle blew everytime someone moved. We barely saw Steven Hill in the first half which changed the defense early. The Wofford zone defense caused the Razorbacks to take a lot of threes (most of which were missed). Woffords motion offense ran a lot of the shot clock down, shortening the game. This match up did’nt lend itself to the style of play that Pelphrey wanted to use. At least he was able to adjust during the game and make the changes necessary to win. Congrats, Coach Pelphrey! Welcome to Arkansas!
Thank God it’s time for basketball without Textgate, emailgate and OC-gate.
