Awesome for D-Mac to get this award 2 straight years. It’s sad that the television networks are lobbying for thier own picks to win the Hiesman. Tebow will probably win it. He was the most consistant throughout the year. He’s a great talent, but I wouldn’t vote for him over D-Mac. It’s really too bad D-Mac’s hands were tied by the lack of balance in Houston Nutt’s brain. I think he’s definately the best player in college football, bare none. Houston know’s it too. What a waste!!

Too True Gonzo. A great, great kid and a once in a lifetime talent. We were so lucky to have him.

It is a real shame that he was wasted and abused. In the whole soap opera I think it was a factor, spoken or unspoken. I know I was tired of seeing talent and teams wasted for little or no reason when we could have been watching football instead.

You can only imagine the last two years if Gus had been given the freedom to mold this backfield into a scoring machine. And, it was all lost to one man’s ego and childish nature.

You could see this coming in August from 5 miles away. We all knew Dale would not win enough with Lee to get Darren the hiesman and that he would over use him and get him hurt. Check the archives and you will see the whole tale spelled out before it happened. Too bad.

Having said all of that, I do wish Dale well. I sincerely hope that he will learn from his mistakes and become a better coach, a better husband, and a better person. I know he misses the hogs and Fayetteville. No matter what he says, he is not an ole miss rebel, not really.

Moan and groan! ” Woe is me!” Take a page from Darren who is not moaning and groaning, but moving on! It takes away from his being even no. 2 to be acting this way. Yes, we all would have liked for him to get it, but voting is voting and the award has rarely been about who is the best player anyway or Peyton Manning would likely have won the award. Whenever it gets down to it, it is impossible to pick who is the very best player in the entire country. Almost always they leave the defensive players out of the mix because offense is more flashy, especially the QB. Now, they are trying to pick the best HS player. That makes no sense what so ever.

One very telling thing on the voting, I am under the impression that in the SEC, the very people, who knew more about D-Mac than anyone else, as it was reported that more voted for him in SEC than other places, such as out West. It is a media circus and the best is hard to pick. I would have voted for D-Mac, but I am also prejudiced since he graduated from frin Oak Grove, and I have been a Razorback fan for many years.

Seems funny, now ye old negative ones are following your leader of the Dem-Gaz and jumping on White just because your leader said it! Fans, it is time that you pulled yourselves up by your own boot straps and started thinking for yourselves. I know thinking is hard, but you can get used to it. Getting your fiction from that source is really bad.
