Does anyone know anything about the recruit FB Shuler? Is he going to walk on? I think this is an awesome outcome with so little time to recruit. I am very excited about how good our offense could be. Hope we get a new DC soon though. Go Hogs Go and congrats to ALL the new Razorbacks!!!!

Bless all those of you that were caught up in yesterday's storms.

  2. OwassoHog says:

Ok, it appears that we have a numbers (27) vs. listing of names problem. The list shows 25 names (including Ryan Mallett). So, who are the other two? One appears to be Matt Hall but that still leaves one more.

I am not sure, maybe things will settle by tomorrow with who is really signing and who isn't. We definitely have the players now to stretch the field, let's all cross our fingers and hope they qualify and or eligible this fall cause we are going to need them. Alabama is going to be scary good real soon.

  4. TipsterHog says:

Owasso…it looks like Hogwired has now bumped it down to 25 signees so I've update our post accordingly.

Ward_Hog, I was as confused as you were about the FB recruit Thomas Shuler. I see now that one of the DEMO.-ZETT articles noted that he was ruled academically ineligable for next season, and would be going to a Jr. College. This happens in almost every class. It could happen to a couple of more before it's all said and done with. I like this class. I think it's probably a little under-rated, considering how they'll be used under Coach Petrino. This class won't be sucsessful by itself. It's sucsess will be determined by the next couple of recruiting classes that Petrino bring's in. If the next 2 classes continue to bring in even more talent, then you'll start seeing the results on the grid iron. GO HOGS and GO COACH PETRINO!!!!!

  6. T-towner says:

I like this bunch or recruits, I like the way Petrino and staff handle themselves and I even like the guys we have coming back.

I do not much like our schedule for this fall.

  7. Carolina Hog says:

I was a Nutt fan and sorry for the way it all went down, but having said that I like the way things are going. In the past I felt like we were begging people to come play for us and now the new staff seems to have a more confident attitude where they expect players to come play for them. Looking at this class and then seeing the excuses that Nutt has for his class at Ole Miss leaves me rather satisfied. Its nice to be in a position not to have to make excuses. I hope for even better results next year. Go Hogs!

  8. Guinness Snout says:

This could have been much, much worse. This coaching staff hit the ground running. If you think this year was good, wait untill next year when our coach is not getting torched in the media, BP has time, and we actually have a defensive coordinator.

  9. RWisdom says:

Is Matt Hall a Hog or a Reb?

  10. OwassoHog says:

    A Razorback!

I haven't finished watching the press conference on the signings but one thing sticks out that is so obvious from the picture… why is #11 blank? Was this a spot for somebody that didn't sign or what?

  11. GonzoHog says:

Thomas Shuler was the Hogs 10th commitment back in July Owasso. He was supposed to be going to a JR. college because of his grades. That may be the blank that isn't signed. He's the only recruit I can think of that might have something to do with it, but nobody is talking about him, and I haven't read any other articles pertaining to him, other than the one Wally Hall ran 3 days ago.
