Take that, Billy Donovan! I didn’t get to see the game but it sure sounded like the team decided to make a statement. It couldn’t have happened at a better time or against a better opponent.
How about Petrino going out on the floor to lead a Hog Call during one of the timeouts?! If this guy is putting on an act, get him an Emmy. ;^)
Reguardless of the outcome of the rest of this season, Pelphrey definately came to coach. It seems as if this team is developing his personality. Those were 2 very inspiring, back to back wins this week with Ole Miss coming up next. I love the way Pelphrey is trying to keep his team focused. Stan was a good recruiter and coach, but he just doesn’t have the fire this guy has. I was just about ready to pack it in on these guys, but my eyes have been re-opened the past couple of ball games. The Hogs are definately back in the mix! We’ve won 3 SEC games in a row now. May we dare to make it 4?
My ass hurts. That was an absolute beatdown today. Congrats, and even though it wasn’t the outcome we wanted, we Gator fans are proud of Pel. He’s a good coach and he’ll do great things at Arkansas.
Glad we only play you guys once this year…
Well, you know Stan was bald, shaving his head to make it so. Pelphrey is a red-head and, man does it show! What a fire-ball. It is so good to have him on our side. Maybe these Hogs have got it and we will see some consistent effort for the balance of the season. They could not have played much better the past three games.
Man, reality sets in: I’m watching Miss State push UT to the wire at home after the Vols pretty much dominated the game. I am not looking forward to playing those Bulldogs down there.
And I almost pity your Gaters, Gaterpilot, in having to play the Vols twice…:^O
Great game… first to witness in BWA in a while (poor scheduling (combination of things – Razorbacks schedule, job, sickness, other activities, etc). Fairly good crowd (not many but visible empty seats)… Bobby did a great job calling the Hogs. All in all, a great day to watch the Hogs play. I spent the day with my oldest son – a Gator fan – he’s adopted (just kidding) but missed my 8 year old playing his game (they are 7-0 so far)
I had a great day – my older son, not so great!
Hopefully, the late night practices are payoff!
The last 2 ball games, these kids have played with the attitude of “TEAM – TEAM – TEAM”. They weren’t doing that in the losses to the Gamecocks and Bulldogs, which was very evident. The only thing this team hasn’t proven so far is that they can go on the road and beat a quality opponent. If we can continue to stay focused and protect our home court, by playing with the intensity we have the past 2 games, I think we have a chance to do that this year. That’s the only thing left for this team to prove. If the Hogs can do that, then I think we can officially state that they have climed thier way back up to the elite status in the SEC that they used to have many moons ago. GO HOGS GO!!!!!
That was a beatdown now. I don’t care who you are, you’re not going to bring freshman into BWA and win. Florida’s young pups will have their day…it just wasn’t yesterday.
The crowd was outstanding again. Need that game next Saturday against Ole Miss though, as the second half of the SEC schedule is very difficult.
Great Game. Great Effort. Great Team Play.
This team has the talent to compete with Tenn for the overall title. Wins at Miss St and Tenn are a tall order. But the rest of the schedule is tough too.
If you come to Arkansas you come to compete for titles. It has to be that way. With our fans and facilities we should expect nothing less. The talent is there. It is just a matter of desire and determination. These guys can take the next step. We will know in the next two weeks.
Domination of a decent team like Florida hasn’t been seen around the Boston Mountains in over a decade. Long overdue. Speaking of Long, do you think by finally honoring the 1994 team we have lifted the curse over the basketball program?
Well Sunshine, It appears you might have been right last week with your predictions. Saturday was an exceptional game. I’m not ready to totally get on the wagon yet but will admit to looking for a spot to sit.
