I have to take credit for this win, just like the loss to Miss State was all on me. I watched this game start to finish and it showed!

It's true. This is a hard group to trust. I couldn't believe my own post but, I'm trying to be positive. They have burned us so many times before.

I hope for their sakes as well as ours that they want to actually accomplish something. I think they have the talent. They seem to lose focus everytime they have won 3 games in a row.

Coming off of two losses with this kind of performance is not that same old same old. This group has burned me so many times but I think they've got a run in them.

It is officially the home stretch. This is where basketball teams peak for the tournament if they are going to have a great year.

No one is going to hold Tenn against you. The effort on the road at Miss St was good. If they can bottle what they had last night they can go on the stretch run and be a hot team going into the NCAA. That is the mark of a good basketball coach, his team is peaking at tourney time.

So far, the only real stumble was that mess with GA, SCar. This team looks like they have shaken the Heath and are taking on some Pelphry. Kentucky would be huge for TV and for the stretch run.

At the start of the year I thought with their experience these guys might be a sweet sixteen team. Watching them play that turned out to be way too optimistic. They showed something last night that could make them a dark horse again if they can figure out what that was.

Or, is Pelphry just now learning where the buttons are?

It is encouraging to see Gary Irvin starting at PG again. That tell's me he's finally doing what Pelphrey want's him to do on a consistant basis. We don't need a relapse at Kentucky. This game is big, and his decision- making at that position will be crucial. If he play's at Kentucky the way he did at Miss. St., he will be great. Kentucky play's well at home, but doesn't dominate anyone This game is very winable, and at the same time, a must win for the Hogs. If we win, we stay with Miss. St. for the West div. race, and up our chances to play in the big dance. If we lose, there's a good chance we could blow the race for the West, and at the same time hurt our chances of coming off the bubble with the NCAA tourney. Kentucky's RPI rating is terrible, so a lose down there will hurt big time compared to the lose at Tennessee, in which we probably just broke even at worst. This is the time for the Hogs to step up and take charge. There's no more waiting. There's no more road games to burn. This is it! Go get 'em boys!!! GO HOGS!!!!! BEAT KENTUCKY!!!!!

I didn't get to see the game so can't know for sure but I hope the lowered scoring in the second half indicates that Pelphrey used the big lead to get some other players game time and perhaps work on some aspects of the game plan that tight games don't leave time for?

AMAZING!

Did you see the first half's stat line?

Started 9 of 12 from 3's???

Heck, Hunter was 3/4 from behind the arc.

Great game, hogs!

Sad part... scored 51 first half points, but only 36 second half points?

I know we don't want to wipe the floor with them, but for ONCE, i wanna see our boys get 100 in conference play again!

Go Hogs!

Beat Kentucky!
