Matt Gaudet hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning for the LSU Tigers at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, La., on Friday night giving the Tigers an 8-7 win.

Underhog and company attended this heartbreaker at Alex Box in Baton Rouge – sitting not far from Cliff Springston’s parents about 30 feet from the left field wall down the third base line – a loonnng ways away from the plate. After I asked a Tiger fan if these LSU kids have been hitting the ball this hard and collecting hits like this all spring long, the Tiger fan says to me “yeah but they’ve all had eyes – always right at somebody”. Now wait a minute – aww, you figure it out. Always had fun talking to these good Cajun folks, but they do have their own “speak”.
Coon took a lot of ribbing from the left field “over the wall gang” UNTIL he got his third hit that is.
Coon may well be back.
