I hear you guys. Casey's been taught to stare down one reciever for 3 years now, mainly because of a poor offensive phylosiphy and not enough reps in the passing game. I hope one year is enough to bring out the best in him. Petrino certainly exspects a lot from his QBs. Only time will tell. It sure would be nice to have Mitch Mustain in this offense. If only he and Damian Williams would have stuck it out one more year. We might be a little thin on RBs, but we sure would be loaded at the other offensive positions. I hear D.J. Williams is having a very good spring so far, and Andrew Davie is right there with him. I'm looking forward to Cleveland and Tuck getting back to 100%. I think we have a lot of good weapons on offense if Petrino can utilize them all. We still have some talented Freshmen coming in in the fall. It'll be interesting to see how Adams, Curtis, and Wright are used in this offense.

I agree LA. I wish Casey well. I think we all like him. He is a very likeable, all-american kid just in manner and appearance and I think we all feel bad for what he had to contend with in the last 3 years.

(Pull a kid's redshirt in order to win 2 games and secure a 4-7 record? Then the poor kid rides the pine while Gus and Mitch go undefeated only to come in in time to win two out of 5 in route to the worst off season in NCAA history. Finally, he gets to lead the nations best rushing attack to mediocrity and the worst Cotton Bowl loss in Razorback history.)

I feel for the kid. I know we all do. I would love to see him finish the year as second team All-SEC QB. But, if he shows the potential to do that, it will be the first time.

Clint Stoerner had Joe Ferguson to coach him for 4 years. I just don't know if one year of good coaching will do it. It will make a huge difference if Casey can find that spark.

I think Casey Dick is the heartbeat of this team or at least the x-factor. He has never been asked to be a passing quarterback and maybe now undert these circumstances he can finally get some practice under his belt and coaching. We may not challnege to win the West league tilte in 2008, but I am optistimic this team will be well prepared each weak and not so dang blasted predictable on every offensive play.

i truly believe that casey will be the surprise of the conference. he is a good kid with more than adequate football tools and i.q.

this team can surprise if the defense can maintain leads and if we can manage an early season upset.

an eight win season would be awesome.

but regardless, it is pleasing to know that we are in a new era in arkansas football.

Too True Gonzo.

How nice it is to have real coaches for a change. As much as we all love Kenny now that he is the elder statesman, we haven't had real coaching here since Lou left. These boys are the real deal. Frank stayed 20 years too long and Hooty should have left for Nebraska five years ago.

Our long national nightmare is over.

It sound's like these coaches are exspecting a lot from this team between now and the end of August, and I think thier bound and determined to get it. These Spring practice reports are a lot different from what we've had in the past. The 21-36 passing stats for Casey is a lot different than what were used to, considering he's splitting time with 3 other QBs. Also, when was the last time he had to take every snap against the 1st team defense? All together, the QBs threw for 78 passes in this scrimmage. That's completely unheard of in Fayetteville. As exspected, the TEs are finally getting a heavy dose of the offense. Something promised for years under the old regime, that was never carried through. Thinking back now, how the hell did we ever allow that charade to go on for 10 years? Oh well, no use crying over spilt milk now. Just clean it up and move on to brighter days. GO HOGS GO BABY!!!!!
