Wow! That’s a big suprise! We really are gonna be young this year aren’t we? That leaves only Welsh and Washington to carry the torch now. I’ve struggled in my mind to figure out how we would rotate our guards this year with only 1 true PG and 3 true SGs. I guess we won’t have to worry about that any more will we?
[...] Stephen noted yesterday, Patrick Beverley is out for the season and that definitely “kinda sucks“. That alone is certainly bad enough news (interesting [...]
Poor Aunt Kay. She’s inconsolable.
Beverly’s circumstances seem just a little bit odd to me for some reason. Why is it that a simple explination of the reason why Beverly is not elligible cannot be given? He is either academically inelligible, or he violated some sort of NCAA rule. If there is a privacy issue that cannot be addressed, then UofA officials need to shutup about Beverly being in trouble academically. You can’t just pick and choose what you want to release. For all we know, the reason Beverly isn’t elligible is because he signed with an agent to begin with. What’s the cover-up? The UofA clam’s up, Beverly’s mother play’s dumb with the Media, and Beverly’s reasoning for this whole thing is just the opposite of what the UofA origionally said in the first place. I wish all 3 of them would just shutup!!
This is getting rediculous. now we are hearing from Beverly and his mother that he hasn’t signed with an agent yet, and now are looking in to that as a possibility, or maybe red-shirting a year. Maybe we’ll know something concrete, for a change, before the season tip’s off.
