I agree about Casey both getting the raw end of a deal and just flat not complaining about his situation. That's part of the reason that I want to see him get every change possible to finish out this year on a good note.

Having said that, I'm concerned about Wilson's inexperience... thus, the reason that Bobby will probably work towards bringing him along. Kinda of interesting worrying about the lack of experience for him say vs. Mitch. Why would this be any different? I'm guessing I didn't feel as strong of a concern for Mitch for 2 reasons: he knew Guz and that he had experienced players around him. Tyler doesn't have either of these... in addition, he's got the lack of playing any cupcake teams at this point.

Back to Casey's situation... how does his situation impact Nathan's? I'm wondering how the next couple of years play out! Casey gets the shaft (yet again)... Nathan sees the writing on the wall with Tyler and Ryan plus other QBs being recruited... not going to look pretty for the Dick's. :-(

That's probably a fair assesment Owasso. I like Casey, but to be perfectly honest about it, Tyler Wilson is more apt to be sucsessful in this offense than Casey ever was. Casey was a dual-threat QB in HS, which is basically the only kind of QB Nutt ever recruited while he was here besides Mitch. (We won't go into that) Wilson has been coached to run the spread, here in Greenwood, ever since he was in boy's club. He's no stranger to what Petrino is trying to instill in his offense. The difference is exsperience taking snaps, nothing more. I feel sorry for Casey. I really do. He's gotten a raw deal, pretty much every year he's been here. It's really a shame, but to his credit, you won't here him complain for one second. I'm still crossing my fingures for him, because like someone else said earlier, it isn't like the O-Line is giving him too many chances. Hopefully, he, along with the O-Line, will get better as the season progresses.

I wasn't going to be the first to call for Casey's head (so I still won't). However, I'm fairly certain that as the season goes along, Bobby will continue to build the team of the future. So, this would continue his trend of playing much younger and inexperienced players.

I hate to be that way, but with us not playing for much this year, I would like to see more and more of the other QB since Casey is gone after this year. We obviously have to have someone who can make quicker reads.

During the Texas game, I fell off the front of the bandwagon and got run over. I need TipsterHog and WalkingOnSunshine to help me get back on.

I never expected to play games without a defense. My bold predictions at the beginning of the season were based on the fact that we would field a defensive unit. I've not seen a Razorback defense this bad in 15+ years.

The Gators will be pissed! Picking the final score and that should be pretty funny.

That kick was more of a fade than a hook.

We were all optimistic to start the season. I was one of the worst. The facts are in and will continue. It is going to be a long two years just like the experts said. Remember the Dark Days of Danny Ford? They are back. Some have compared it to the first two years of Nolan. We have an offensive line that has never had to pick up a blitz or pass block. We have recievers recruited block and a QB who was recruited to hand off. It's ugly baby, very ugly.

Tyler looks good. Accurate, quick release. This year will be good for him.

Tipster, don't be too hard on all the Nuttsters. Let them have thier fun. It's a long season, and history is bound to repeat itself when thier team will win and lose when thier not supposed to. They've already forgotten about the Vandi game, but unfortunatly for them, it won't be thier last. GO HOGS!!!!!

It really didn't seem like we just fell apart in this game, as much as it seemed like McCoy just picked us apart. I don't think that kid had a bad play all day. The only complaint you could have against him would be that he runs way too much. If he does that the rest of the season, against stiffer defenses, he'll probably get hurt. I think he's about 209 lbs. so he's definately no Tim Tebow, just quiker. Casey never really looked like he was in control, and Wilson is getting over whelmed at a very tender age for a QB. I like what I saw out of Joe Adams early on,and I like what the Franklin kid is doing at MLB. Smith is running as hard as could be exspected, but you can tell there are runs he could be getteing so many more yards, because of his size. Dennis Johnson has turned out to be a pretty good kick return man. Other than that, all I can really say is our O-Line isn't nearly as consistant as it's going to have to be to win another ball game this year. We have to improve there. As crazy as it sound's, I thought the defense looked better. The only big play I seen in the game was the Wilson INT I seen close to the end. Bad news. Now we have to play a pissed-off Gator team, that should have won yesterday. They will show up for this game.

I could be mistaken Owasso, but I believe Tejada's kick was a 44 yarder, into the wind. I looked like it started off straight down the middle, then hooked back 4 or 5 ft. to the right. Really wasn't that bad a looking kick, but Petrino decided to go with Shay Haddock the rest of the way. There could be a confidence issue with Tejada, but then again, you might say that with..... well, take your pick.
