Congratulations to Jonas for the closest prediction last week of 21-13. (By the way, Jonas…you’ve got mail.) His quote: “Hogs will not make it 10 in a row against MSU.” Yes, Jonas…the Hogs finally got ‘Croomed’ after watching others enjoy that privilege over the years. Fun…wasn’t it?
So while this season to forget is basically over, there’s still one more RBN t-shirt courtesy of Carpenter Clothing Co. to give away. Not exactly a bowl game…but it’s the best we could do.
So here we go:
Walking on Sunshine: Both sides starting freshmen quarterbacks should make for an ‘entertaining game.’ Hogs rush defense has gone AWOL…and that’s the difference on Friday. ‘Bazzel’s Boot‘ changes hands again. LSU 30, Arkansas 20.
HogBaller: The Hogs have little to play for except pride. And in light of player suspensions, is there anyone on this team who wants to play for the name on the uniform? Unfortunately, not enough to make a difference as LSU hands the Hogs their eighth loss of the season. Corndogs 38, Hogs 14.
HogBlogger: The Hogs have nothing to play for but pride and a boot too heavy to lift…much less wear. Arkansas 28, LSU 24.
TipsterHog: After making a horrendous Mississippi State offense look good, the Hogs help make a mediocre LSU offense look great. LSU 35, Arkansas 21.

Not even sure how to call this one. Hogs are in the cellar and LSU is falling apart. Les Miles wants revenge for last years overtime loss and he ca get it in the Rock.

And with that, we bring to an end a lot of things.
- A bad season
- A SR QB
- Hopefully the last remaining HDN loving players who didn’t buy in
- The freshman season to a lot of starters who will not be freshmen next year
Has a coach ever been fired after winning the NC the year before? If we beat LSU somehow, I figure Miles will feel the water get a lot warmer down yonder.
This game could be fun and could also be one of the highest scoring games for both teams, however it won’t be the offenses making the scores, but rather the defenses. With the two of the best QB’s for throwing pick sixes expect the defense with the better secondary to win it.
The bad thing that would ruin the possibility of infinite pick sixes is that both coaches found out they had pretty good QBs on the sidelines.

Tigers will play it conservative with a young QB on the road. He like’s to pull it down and run to the outside, so with the Hogs being depleted on the D-line, the Tigers will be plenty balanced with an occasional pass on 1st down, while running up the middle with their big back the rest of the time.
Tigers pass defense is a little weak, but still enough to take the Hogs in LR.

If we can make one of the worst offenses in the nation look exceptitional then I’m scared to see what the Tigers do to us….
A Hogs team that was already lacking in the motivation department now has even less.

I think Petrino will play some of the folks that have worked hard all year but have not gotten playing time. Those kids will leave it all out on the field, and I think we’ll have an upset.

Seems like the Hogs always make a first-time starter at QB for the opposing team look like a future Heisman trophy winner. Michael Smith won’t be playing, our defense hasn’t played all year, and our special teams are usually a disaster waiting to happen. Although good times are on the horizon, they won’t be here Friday.

I finally won a shirt this year!!! I’m just glad we ended the season with something to build on.
Congrats Hogs! Two Dicks and LSU has no balls brings about a happy ending to this season. Looking so forward to next year and the following ones after that.
