Where was Henry tonight? He is not another casualty is he? I sure hope not.

Mike, I was wondering the same thing during the game and then noticed Henry (who was dressed out) noticably limping from the bench to the huddle during timeouts.

Pelphrey said on the radio after the game that even though he “wasn’t a doctor,” that he had been told Henry would need minor knee surgery to clean out some “things floating around” and that it was a nagging injury Henry had been dealing with off and on for a while now. Pelphrey didn’t give a timeline for Henry’s surgery or his return.

Let’s just hope he’s the last Razorback basketball player who has injury issues this season. This team is pretty thin at several positions.

I was wondering who I was missing out there. Hopefully this won’t keep Henry out that long. Their saying possible torn knee cartlege, so maybe it won’t take that long for him to recover if the majority of the problem is just the swelling it causes.

I thought the Hogs looked agressive on D out there last night. I’m encouraged by the defensive play of Brandon Moore. He looks better every game.

Rotnie was off tonight, but I don’t exspect that to last very long.

Fortson is a stud. What else can you say about him?

Welsh isn’t a very good ball handler, but if I was going to complain about him, that’s pretty much about it.
His defense and his ability to drive to the hole is much improved, and he’s picked up where he left off last season with his 3 pt. shot.

Washington is tough in the middle, but will have his hands full in the next game.
I hope he improves on his FT shooting, and kicks that old desire to jack up at least one terrible outside shot in a game. That needs to stop. We have plenty of shooters.

OU is up next. We’ll see what they’ve got now.

This is so very deja vu all over again! Frankly (not Broyles), many of us thought Nolan was an idiot his first two years on The Hill. Once he got some running, gunning types, he looked like a much better coach. Pelphrey looks to have inherited a bunch of whiners that could not play his style much as Nolan did. The current crop of Hogs are not only good, but they seem to get it and are really fun to watch!

  5. T-towner says:

This is certainly off the subject, but Malazahn going to Auburn is going to make the Auburn situation very convoluted to say the least. An apparently inept head coach and a genius offensive coordinator. Fun, fun, fun!

How could I forget Marcus Britt in my ealier post? This young man played a very good game last night, and deserves a lot of credit, along with Welsh and Washington.
He’s obviously much improved over last season and is much more than just a defensive presence.
Has anyone else noticed how well he shoots the 3 this year? If anyone of you guys have access to a stat on 3 pt. %, it would be interesting to see how well Britt stacks up against Clarke, Fortson, and Welsh.
I know he hasn’t shot as many times as those guys, but it sure doesn’t seem like he’s missed very many of the ones he has shot.

Like they say T-towner; at least Gus isn’t going somewhere he’s never been.
Maybe this time he won’t be known for just being a “highschool” coach.

Hopefully, he’ll turn out to be more of a nightmare for Ole Nutty than coach Petrino.
