Great game… got to watch part of it in the Tulsa area. What a way to finish out the year!
Holy cow! What a ball game that was!
I exspected us to give the Sooners a run for their money, but I really didn't exspect us to win.
The defense has been coming along pretty well recently, but I didn't exspect this.
Fortson has to be the most exciting player to come along since the Williamsom/Thurman days.
All of the other players feed off this kid and his ability to make plays.
OU is the real deal though. That's what made this game so important.
Blake Griffin and Willie Warren are studs, plain and simple.
It's been a long time since I was this excited about a basketball game.
We may not be all the way back yet, but,….. We're back!
GO HOGS GO BABY!!!!!
Wow!!! Was that like old times or what? One of the best crowds I've ever been a part of in BWA…top five for sure.
The thing I was most impressed with was this bunch…being young and all…will fight you, and I mean fight you. OU's got a really good team and we didn't back down an inch…especially inside.
How about Monk? Didn't think he would play meaningful minutes this year…wrong on that one. 6 for 6 from the line…very impressive.
My win projection just jumped from 16 to 19. Good national (ESPN) exposure gets us back on the map. Watershed game??? I think so.
Just a few observations about last nights game:
1. These kids aren't scared
2. Fortsen is the first true point guard we have had since Cory Beck. And he plays as tuff as Beck as well.
3. We are faster than I thought and certainly faster than Oklahoma thought.
4. Pelphry has the respect of this years kids. And each can coach! Glad Coach Evens is on the beanch with him.
5. Washington is a player. He just needed to get the bad attitudes gone from last year.
6. This team has a good chance at a 2-3 year run. Watch our SEC we just might be back.
7. I wish I could be in Walton Arena when Rick Barns comes in Tuesday night.
8. Yes I will say it here first: We Will Win the West!!!!!!
9. Last I do believe we will win 22 games at least
GO HOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, is it a great time to be a Razorback fan or what?
This game represents what's so great about Razorback basketball.
Doesn't it feel great to be able to talk like this again? Isn't it awesome to feel the giittiness of a young child at Christmas time?
That's what the Hogs make me feel like when their at the top of their game.
I'ml trying my best to stay level headed about this big win, but it's still pretty darned exciting.
I think we're in for a special treat over the next few years.
I took three Sooners to the game. Of course, their eyes thought the Big 12 officials were the biggest force in the game. I asked if Oklahoma has ever lost a game of anything wherein the refs were not the primary culprits. They put the radio on OSU-Oregon all the way home———ah well, cancel Christmas for the Sooner State!
These Hogs are for real. Unlimited upside and really fun to watch and cheer for.
Sunshine, this would rank above any game during the SH era. I would rank it 4th at best in BWA.
1 Missouri in 93
2 & 3 Kentucky and Auburn back to back.
Really any Kentucky game during the Nolan era was a big event.
There were a number of empty seats Tuesday night. It was load and most stood for the the whole game. There were a large number of folks trying to buy tickets before the game. The crowd showed up earlier than usual. Yes, it's close to the way it used to be which proves to me we can fill the place up with higher expectations and better compitition. Top 5? Maybe. Top 10? Probably so. Better than we've experienced in a long time? Absolutely.
If we win Saturday as expected, next Tuesday would have a chance to be top 5.
