A couple of notes from last night….
1. Fortson had a great game. His ability to drive to hole or hit the three make him very hard to guard. He’s going to be a superstar in the SEC.
2. UNC Central will be one of the 10-15 worst D-I teams in America. 26 turnovers against this bunch was a huge disappointment. Coach Pel could not have been happy with that stat.
3. Free throw shooting was improved last night. Area of concern where improvement can be seen.
4. The LED ribbon boards are going up around the perimeter of the upper deck at BWA. Some of them were finished, some just had the brackets installed from which the boards will hang. None were functional last night, but soon will be.
I agree on Fortson. He will be special.
Henry was a disappointment coming off the performance he had last week, but one thing i’ve learned over the years about Hog basketball, is that you will have players, especially the young ones, have a sloppy game or two around semester finals and the holidays. Welsh, one of our Jrs., also fits into that catagory.
I’m not going to exspect anything more from this group of young men this year, than what we witnessed from the football team this season. Something tells me anything else would be foolish.
This team is a work in progress, but the future looks very bright.
GO HOGS GO!!!!!
