I'm personally not even concerned about the wins and losses any longer. My only concern now is the future of this basketball team.

I'm not seeing the heart of this team anymore, and focus seems to be a non-issue.

We seem to be playing as if each player is trying to force their hand, and become the go to guy.

There is nothing fluid about the offense, and the defense is erratic and non-consistant, as if our players only pick and choose when they want to play defense, or is it they forget what they are doing?

I don't know, I just hope John hasn't lost his team completely.

Courtney makes a huge difference on this team, but they had their fair share of issues with him.

Pelphrey's main concern right now should just be to keep his team together.

Losing Marcus Monk for good, certainly wasn't the news this team needed.

I disagree with one point. I think we played with as much heart as we've shown all year. The problem is we're playing with less talent that any team we play. We have at least 4 players that should be in the sunbelt.

I regularly agree with your posts. However, I think this time you are off the mark. We all should be a little more patient with Coach P. Where are all the comments about the DISMAL recruiting from two years ago? I find it hard to believe that the previous coach only signed Sanchez, A. Clark, and Brit. Talk about leaving the cupboard dry! We have zero depth. Until we get another inside guy (first and foremost), and some other Henrys (I love his athletism) to go along with Washington and Fortson, we will be unorganized and desperate. We only have one ball handler now. We don't go inside enough. We are nowhere close to 40 minutes of hell. We need to attack defensively more. It takes nothing to break our press. Until we get the talent, these outcomes should come as to no surprise. Let's stay behind them positively while we are concerned about the losses.

Actually, Pelphrey signed Andre Clark last year. Heath originally recruited Sanchez, and Rakestraw from Springdale, and Britt from Forrest City.

Rakestraw transferred last year. Since then, Patrick Beverly left school, Montrell McDonald decided to leave, and Monk was forced to leave early.

Bad luck has reared it's ugly head on several occasions for our basketball team the last couple of years, and I'll bet it's not over yet either.

At this point who cares. Just try be good fans and stop being critical of John so he can continue to recruit. I think next year with Steph and Michael as sr's and Courtney and a healthy Jason Henry we have a chance to make the field of 64. Then we might be able to get on a roll. It is obvious at this point Texas and Oklahoma were flukes in that they shot horribly and we played our two best games of the year. It is obvious John knows we don't have the talent or he would get out of that 2-3 a little more.
