OH YEAH!!!! What a game!!! Way to hang in, Hogs!!! Fantastic coaching, pitching, and hitting!!! OMAHA HERE WE COME!!! GO HOGS GO!!! WHOOOO PIG SOOOIIEEEE!!!!
What a series!!! Great job!
Woo-hoo! Maybe I need to be a baseball fan. For at least a couple of weeks.
Hooray for Darr–what clutch hitting! Hawgs all the way!
I can’t believe the way these kids have been playing!
After the ‘Noles came back to take the lead at 8-7, I thought we’d lost it.
Outstanding poise for such a young team!
Omaha, here we come baby!!!
Whoooooooo…….PIG!!! SOOIE!!!……..RAZORBACKS!!!
Just a guess… but do anybody else feel like those close victory early in the season helped keep their cool today?
This team is the definition of never give up.
Owasso, I agree 100%.
The SEC was super tough this season. The competition level was through the roof.
LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt are all tou gh and capable of beating any team on any given night. Throw the Hogs into that mix, and you have one hell of a competitive conference.
There is absolutely no team in the country that’s going to show us something we haven’t already seen before. I think the proof of that started showing in Norman last weekend.
Also, LSU made it to the series yesterday and Ole Miss gets their shot today as well.
I thought I had caught a glimpse on ESPN where Florida was still in the tournament somewhere.
Does anyone know if that’s correct?
Florida has a chance but they are down 0-1 so they will have to win today and tomorrow to make it.
How about Andrew Darr and Bo Bigham!!!! Clutch all the way.
If Ole Miss wins today, three teams from the SEC West will be on the same side of the bracket in Omaha.
Gonzo, Florida is still alive, but down 0-1 to Southern Miss in Gainesville. Were Florida to win, they would be in the opposite bracket as Ark, LSU, Ole Miss in Omaha.
Thanks, Owasso and Sunshine.
Is there a bracket yet??
http://www.ncaa.com/brackets/2009/ncaa_bracket_DI_baseball.html
In Omaha, there are 2 four-team double elimination brackets. The winners of those two brackets face off in a best-of-three championship series. The three other teams on our side are LSU, Fullerton, Virginia…just like the bracket shows.
Somebody remind me how we did against LSU.
GolfHog, according to a reliable source (RazorBloggers):
May 2 LSU (Game 1) Fayetteville 5:05 p.m. 11-4 (W)
May 2 LSU (Game 2) Fayetteville 8:35 p.m. 0-5 (L)
May 3 LSU Fayetteville 1:05 p.m. 3-4 (L)
So, we were 1-2… but I recall, this was towards the beginning of our rough patch.
