The Houston win over Oklahoma State drops the Pokes out of the top 10 this week. Florida got a tune up in beating Troy 56-6, and now awaits “The Lane Kiffin Show” to make its way down to Gainesville this weekend.
Despite losing a close one at the end to USC, Ohio State moves up as they proved their merit even in defeat. A big BlogPoll welcome to Pittsburgh and Kansas, while Notre Dame exits stage right after the loss to Big Blue.

It's a little scary and pretty impressive what Meyer has done. Like Stoops and Carroll before him, he is the hot coach, except, he has actually delivered; two titles in three years. With his recruiting base, like OU or Southern Cal, there is no reason to think this is not going to be a dynasty in the old sense of the word. I'm glad they are off the schedule for a while. Hopefully we will see them in title game.
I'm ready to be impressed with what Gus has done at Auburn. If he can pull what he did at Tulsa, the SEC West is about to get awfully crowded. It will be time for the East to have the lower half of the league minus a huge Florida and the West to fight for slots 2 thru 5. We'll see how he does against WVir. Tough spot for Chizik to be the second best coach on his own staff. He's doing better than someone we know though. If Gus does it, he is about to be the hottest property in college football. Does he work his way up from a lower conference as a head coach or take the big contract, long term, as a Coordinator at the D-1 school of his choice? What do you think?
