Game Predictions — Georgia

Congratulations to playap for the closest prediction last time of 47-10.  Playap’s quote…well, actually, he didn’t leave a quote.  C’mon peeps…you gotta at least put a little smack out there if you’re going to predict a 37-point win!

Playap should be receiving an RBN t-shirt soon that we’ve been told is perfect for mowing the lawn or cleaning the garage.  You know…nothing but the best for our weekly winner!

I have a feeling there won’t be many predicting a 37-point margin this week.  (Although you’d probably have that score all to yourself!)   But hey…Razorback fans have to feel pretty good when the man who writes the annual bible of college football, Phil Steele, is predicting a Hog victory, right?

If you need a quick refresher on how we judge the winner of our little weekly contest, you can check the rules here.  So here we go:

Georgia BulldogsWalking on Sunshine: Fayetteville is buzzing for this one. Time to show the ESPN national TV audience what Razorback fans already know…the Hogs are pretty good.  I don’t expect the Dawgs to roll over…just get rolled.  Quarterback play is the difference, and we’ve got the gun this time.  Arkansas 43, Georgia 29.

HogBaller: The Bulldogs come in battle-tested and ready with two tough games under their belt…right?  Wrong.  The aerial show by Mallett and the Hogs’ offense racks up the points, while the Razorback crowd makes Stillwater seem placid.  The defense bends, but doesn’t break and Petrino gets his first big SEC win.  Arkansas 42, Georgia 17.

HogBlogger: The crowd and the Hogs have a lot to prove.  It’s time to establish Fayetteville as a tough place for road teams.  Arkansas 48, Georgia 28.

TipsterHog: The Hogs’ offense is primetime-ready, but the defense and special teams are still experiencing technical difficulties.  Like last week, the Dawgs make just enough stops to win in a shootout.  Georgia 38, Arkansas 34.

Leave a comment with your name, e-mail address and pick.  And feel free to add your own take like “Bulldogs take a dump on new RRS turf” or “Upgraded stadium sound system doubles as high-powered dog whistle.  Hogs roll.”

forgot my comment. Oops. Dogs make a late drive that looks like they may take it from the Hogs but Cox forces a pass that gets picked and returned deep to set up the final margin.

Delusional!!!!!!!!! Im not overly confident in my dawgs but you guys are crazy Ark had a loosing record last year. UGA is down this year due to youth but our talent is far greater than the piggies. This little piggy went to town and this little piggy got slayed at home! Dawgs 27 Piggies 23.

    KyDawg,

Point well taken, but I think your on the wrong site. The delusional fans are at the Ole Miss site called "The Red Cup Rebellion". I think that's the one your looking for.

Hogs start off slow, going in at halftime down 13-7, but have an outstanding second half to overtake the Dawgs 31-19.

    GO HOGS GO, BABY!!!!!

  7. KyDawg says:

Im not hear to bash your team, im just telling you having really high and unrealstic expectations most often will cause things you own to get tossed from a window when the dont work out. (see Georgia 2008). I do believe we have that talent to beat the hogs, and if a Brandon/en touches the ball for us hold ur breath.

  16. Searching for Our Co says:

Someone mentioned an Ole Miss fan blog, but does anyone know the AP ranking of Ole Miss Rebels today?

Does anyone know where Arkansas' running game went? Did anybody see it leave town? When running game improves dramatically with all of that awesome running back talent, and O-line talent, then Hogs will succeed. If it does not we may have to re-recruit our RBs again to keep them on campus. Who is our O-line coach? Is he a good coach? What happened to DJ? Is he in the coach's dog house? Where did our special teams go? Did anyone see our special teams leave town? Previously, many on this site stated that we had an awesome supporting caste for Coach Petrino. If so, when do they intend to show their stuff?

I suppose if we give our underpaid coach 4-5 years that he will commence to get us back on track.
