It was Little Rock night for the Arkansas Razorbacks as central Arkansas natives Joe Adams and Broderick Green combined for four touchdowns as the Razorbacks dominated Eastern Michigan, 63-27.

I was at the game last night. It was great to see Joe Adams back in perfect form. It was also good to see B. Green break his 1st big run.
I can’t believe he actually set a Razorback rushing record though. (longest rushing TD ever. WOW!)
On the flip side, we seemed to quite playing after the 1st half. I understand not taking a terrible team serious when your up 42-0 at the half, but there’s absolutely NO reason for a virtual high school team like E. Michigan to out-score the Hogs in the 2nd half, 27-21 at home.
The only glaring weakness on this squad that has shown absolutely no improvement over the course of the season is in the kicking game.
To this day, I will never understand why Tejada doesn’t handle the KOs as well as the FGs. He missed a 50 yarder, which is understandable, but had plenty of distance had he been accurate, all the while Cameron Bryan continues to kick the ball down to the 12 yard line on most attempts?
There were 3 other times in the game in which he kicked to the 8 once and the 6 twice. That’s terrible for an SEC kicker. I just don’t get it.
Glad to see D. Winston in the game. I think that ends the debate of him redshirting this season.
Tyler Wilson looked good at times on the short passing routes, but looked terrible at managing the game clock (2 delay of game penalties, on 2 different drives.) and he still looks uncomfortable at times under center. I hope he’s able to correct that by next season.
He had 2 different potential TD passes in the endzone that were very close to being completed. I would have loved to have seen him get one of those. Hang in there, Tyler!

Looking forward to the SC game.

    GO HOGS GO, BABY!!!!!

Gonzo, I agree on the kicking game. We’ve got to find someone that can get some touchbacks. Having teams start on the 30-35 yard line makes things tough on our defense….speaking of…

I still think Willy is part of the problem, but after watching all the big plays we gave up in the second half I will concede that players out of position is part of the problem. I couldn’t beleive all of the big plays in the second half. We’d almost be better off playing a prevent defense. Until we get some kids that can actually cover someone and a coach that can play to kids strengths, we won’t be contenders.

I want to encourage Tyler as well, but he was struggling last night. Watch the replay if you can..he missed badly a couple times and is out of sync with receivers. I hope this performance shuts down the clamoring to sit Mallet in a SEC game when he struggles. Tyler couldn’t do much against a ‘high school’ team, so he will be even worse against a SEC team at home or on the road.

Having said all that, it is clear Wilson is talented and could probably start at any non-SEC school in the country. If he were at Houston or Texas Tech (where he doesn’t have to take a snap under center), he would be tearing it up. I wonder if he is a transfer possibility? Anyone know? I do hope he hangs in there, cause he can develop tremendously under Petrino and McGee, study under Mallet, then come in and tear it up when Mallet leaves early for the NFL after a couple years. BTW, that’s the way it should be in college…develop for a couple years then be strong in your Jr and Senior years and finish school. Too much of an immediate impact perspective by kids these days.

Mallet was outstanding last night. When his O line gives him more than 1 second to make a decision, he is unstoppable.

    Lovin’ the red pants!

I second the support for red pants. I know there are lots of haters out there, but I like em.

      • OwassoHog says:

Let me just say that they looked better in person than they do via TV. Having said that, I still don’t prefer the red on red combo.

    • Swineherd says:

Yeah, I saw you guys in those red pants, with the red shoes and jackets, the whole red-out ensemble topped off with the Hog Hat as you guys were drinking Bloody Marys at a bar on Dickson Street on Sunday afternoon. Lookin good, feelin good, smellin good.

It’s good to have a break from playing the FLs and Als and the Refs of the SEC, so we can discuss the neglected issue of fashion.

And what about the cheerleaders? They say cheerleading is more dangerous than playing the game. But I am more interested in the way they look.

IMO the curators of this site are not giving us nearly enough photos of cheerleaders. If this oversight is not rectified, soon, they’re gonna hear from me.

    Thanks, Tipster!

You do some mighty fine work here, so I’ll be looking forward to some gorgeous cheerleader pics. College cheerleaders are fine athletes in their own right, and they deserve more attention than they get in the press. While you’re at it, don’t forget our opponent’s cheerleaders, particularly those of the female persuasion. I don’t know much about cheerleading, but I know what I like.

This is already the best Razorbacks site. With cheerleader photos, and perhaps some bios, especially during those weeks when we’re playing cupcake teams, you can blow the pretenders out of the water.

This blog has the talent to take it to the next level!
