Congratulations to NielsBoar for the closest prediction last week of 28-24. His quote: “I’ll play the contrarian…maybe this will increase my odds of winning a t-shirt.”
Man…the levels that will people will stoop to get an RBN t-shirt! Ha…just kidding, Niels…nice job. (By the way, you’ve got mail.) But the real question…will anyone try to “increase their odds” this week and pick Eastern Michigan?
Unfortunately, the rest of us didn’t do a very good job listening to Niels and the oddmakers last week, did we? For the first time all season, all the RazorBloggers picked the…uh…wrong team. Never mind that before the season, three of us picked Ole Miss to win the game.
As for the standings of our little predictions contest, after seven games it’s: HogBaller 2, Sunshine 2, TipsterHog 2 and HogBlogger 0. (Ouch!)
If anyone needs a quick refresher on how we judge the winner of our little weekly contest, you can check the rules here. So here we go:
Walking on Sunshine: Guess who is one of the most famous alums of Eastern Michigan? Former Razorback basketball coach Stan Heath! Yep…that’s right…’Stan the Man’ is a Fighting Eagle. And what did we learn from Stan? Nice guys finish last. Arkansas 49, Eastern Michigan 13.
HogBaller: Halloween night proves gruesome for Eastern Michigan as the Hogs slash and gash the Eagles on the ground and through the air. Michael Myers 42, ‘Did you hear something?’ 3.
HogBlogger: Hogs find groove in Homecoming scrimmage. Arkansas 42, Eastern Michigan 7.
TipsterHog: Look out…Donovan McNabb is starting to get it going and DeSean Jackson is on fire. Even without Brian Westbrook, the Eagles will be…uh…oh wait. Nevermind. Arkansas 56, Eastern Michigan 7.
Leave a comment with your name, e-mail address and pick. And feel free to add your own take like “Sisters of the Poor had a scheduling conflict” or “Eagles rock. Hogs roll.”

Time to clear 50 again.
Hogs 63 EMU 10
Joe Adams has a big return. 3 TDs
DJ Williams has 2 touchdowns. The running backs go for big yards.
AR – 51
Bye Week – 12
Hogs have something to prove…confidence builder:
Hogs-48
E. Michigan-13
I don’t care what we score as long as we get the win. What I do care about is seeing +50% completions, no dropped passes, actual tackling (we are allowed to do that right?), and some attempt at running the ball. All that said… Hogs win big!
Hogs: 45
Eagles: 17
Hogs win 51-7… EM scores with our 4th team in yet folks still call for Willy’s head!
Willy gets the week off.
Arkansas 60-0
Tyler Wilson gets playing time and we get to see more Wingo & K. Davis. Hope our defense practices its tackling.
Hogs 55 Eagles 7
Hogs take out some frustrations…poor Eagles.
And we actually run the ball and throw to DJ a few times.
Hogs 49
Eagles 10
I think we’ll try and break 50 b/c we don’t care who the heck we beat this week. We just need to have some kind of win.
Hogs 55
Eagles 17
Hogs 49
Eagles 6
Tejada goes 4/4 and builds on his strong showing last week. Tack on another 8 TDs for a final of:
Hogs 66 – 21.
I still have HDN issues. It killed me watching Ole Miss beat us so soundly. He hasn’t used McCluster like that all year… why now? Conspiracy?
Is there a hot line I can call?
I totally picked Ole Miss cause no one else was. Easy t-shirt. Only now, I’m not sure I could wear it. Too painful.
Time for rehab. Withdrawl is tough. You may need a placebo. Try thinking about the Danny Ford years.
Houston is the best 8-4 coach in America. He won’t take Ole Miss to Atlanta but he will beat Arkansas more than he should. A few more years and Arkansas’ first real SEC rivalry will be on. And, it will be ugly.
Hang on there, GolfHog. Anger, yes. Withdrawal, no. I don’t want him back. I think you are right about the rivalry, should be fun.
Looking forward to winning again, even it is a rent-a-win

EM 6
Ark: 41
EMU: 21
Cupcake comes at just the right time. Hogs hang half a hundred and then some.
Hogs 59
E Mich 13
We’re 38 point favorites. Since we give up 23 points when we win, I’ll say…
Arkansas 61
Eastern Michigan 23.
Simple, really.
My only question is whether EMU will score or not——-and, the answer: NOT!
Arkansas 69
EMU 0
UofA – 59
EMU – 3
This is an R & R game. The starters get some rest and the backups get some reps, keeping the score closer than it could be.
Hogs 35
EMU 10
Hogs 47
Eastern 10
I am over here in Alabama this week and I can;t believe the number of Bama fans who have told me that they sure aren’t looking forward to playing us over the next few years. Every one realizes what Patrino is doing.
Hogs 77 EMU 0 (zip..nada..)
Time to put our backups on display…
Arkansas 58
EMU 6
Got to imagine that we will win, but my faith is teetering on the edge of hopelessness for SEC supremecy in the next few years.. That said, we win, but not by as much because of more running game and still suspect defense
Hognasties 38
E(who?) 17
Eagles best the spread.
Hogs 42
Eagles 14
This is a practice game and time to rest some people early before the big home stretch.
Hogs 52
Scrubs 10
WPS–Sorry, no commentary this week. Still hurting from last week’s loss as well.
Since I forgot my name… Mallet gets 4 TDs in the 1st half and our young guys get some needed playing time. 52-10 Hogs GO Hogs!!!!
Cupcakes for Halloween anyone?
Too many QB issues for E. Michigan – Hog D gets it’s 1st and only shutout of the year.
Trick-or-treaters – 55, Cupcakes – 0.
Tough schedule or not, 3-4 has me bummed. NielsBoar, I hear ya brotha. Last week was depressing. I did enjoy the “two-minute” drill before halftime, though.

Hogs: 55
EM: 9
A nice break from the rigors of the SEC
