A good victory!
Obviously the Bros. Petrino, QB Mallett and receivers read my comments after the MS game and ran the control game with short passes and let the receivers and backs make plays with their legs. Check those stats! They executed the plays and procedures, committing only one penalty for 5 yards, not beating themselves, just as I advised. No need to thank me, Coach. Call any time.
Now where are those cheerleader photos?
I finally think everyone can get off Mallett's back now after saying he only throws the long ball. He perfectly executed the short passes so everyone can quit complaining, for now. Great win for the Hogs!!!
That was hands down the best executed passing game of Ryan Mallett's young career. 23 of 27 passing, with no INTs and no TDs.
Forget the long bombs for TDs, with several 3 and outs inbetween. I'll take a performance like thas every single game.
As long as Mallett get's the ball to our playmakers with regularity, the TDs will be there.
Great game management and overall Q-backing, Ryan!
Amen
They are ready for the stretch run. That schedule was just a bit too much for a young team. Now we will see what the future looks like. Saturday looked GREAT!
"I’ll take a performance like thas every single game."
You may get your wish. Yesterday's game looked like a blueprint for 'Petrino Ball' to me…and the design looks great!
