Who knew Morgan was a state? I couldn’t find it on a map. I’m trying to figure out why I am so ambivalent about the loss. . .and why nobody else has commented about it. Go Hogs!
The recipe for sucess is to suspend players. The Hogs lost this game because they let a couple of the guys on the team play in this game. Suspend everyone except the worst 5 guys (preferably walk on guys or guys) and we will all see the Hogs do nothing but WIN, WIN, WIN, right coach?
Blame the players, not the coach. They know the rules, they just made stupid decisions along the way.
Powell and Nobles are going to be very good players for the Hogs, Farmer isn’t bad either.
Washington and Welsh both have talent, but no leadership skills to speak of. Also, Fortson seems to be all about himself more than anything else.
There’s more help on the way for 2010 and 2011. It’s really too bad the 2008 recruiting class didn’t work out as planned.
We need a new head coach.
I’m NOT there yet!
Who was coaching the Hogs defense last night, Willy Robinson?
Was there really 7500 people there?
Our workplace was giving away four tickets to any employee that wanted them.
I don’t believe Razorback fans are into basketball just yet. There’s still too much Razorback football to be played.
Also, when 5 players start the season suspended, and 4 are still out for the Morgan St. game, people just aren’t as excited to watch when some of the best players won’t even be dressed out.
Even though he probably deserves to be on the suspension, Fortson sold tickets, plain and simple.
If and when he comes back, I expect the attendance to go up as well.
Pel still has a lot of proving to do, as far as coaching in the SEC is concerned, but i’m not ready to give up on him just yet.
The recruiting is looking great so far for 2010, and we may still sign the Ratliff kid out of the Florida JC.
The in-state recruits are off the charts for 2011, so Pel needs to at least have our support for 2 more seasons. If he can’t get it done by that time, then it may be time to start looking at other options.
In the meantime, we need to try and be a little more patient.
You’re exactly right, Gonzo, but sometimes it helps to vent a little. And I think it is appropriate for fans to express their displeasure. Administrations respond to that, because it is reflected in ticket sales, ad sales, endorsements, the bottom line. Arkansas has great fans, patient and forgiving fans, but not all of them are unconditional supporters.
