Move back to Kentucky Pelphrey. Bring Nolan and respect back to Arkansas, as now basketball is noexistant in the hills. We could have a fat stock show in the basketball arena to fill the seats.
Who cares.
Well that was a fitting end for a season that needs to be over, and over fast. With each game (loss) the number of apathetic basketball fans who are ready for Spring Football to begin grows exponentially.
Definately. Definately new uniforms.
Ugh. I guess if fate said we were to lose that game, that was the exact way we were going to lose it. A fitting way to end this up and down season.
This is not a call for Pelphrey’s head, but only a simple question:
Is Pelphrey capable of setting up a legit offensive/defensive system, or, is it our players that just aren’t listening to him?
Simple Answer: No.
At a more complicated level; relying on Fortson to run your offense is fine for 35 minutes of hully gully 40 percent shooting IF you play defense. Down the stretch you actually have to go inside. It’s basketball 101.
This was not the worst game of the last five. It was truly a moral victory; likely the only kind we will see for a while.
How was it a moral victory?
Maybe it was a moral victory because we were generous toward our opponent, giving them our seed in the tournament and letting them win instead of sending them home with a good spanking.
We actually looked like an SEC basketball team for 35 minutes instead of a stupid, lazy, high school team.
Ah, gotcha.
As good as a moral victory is right now, I’m ready for a season where we don’t have to say things like, “hey, at least we hung with TEAM X for a while.” Or, “well, we did beat TEAM X early in the season.”
