Game Predictions — Texas A&M

Congratulations to reader rzrbkfan69 for the closest prediction last time of 27-17.  His quote: “The Hogs will battle and keep it close, but our inability to stop the Alabama running game proves to be the difference.”  Unfortunately, a very spot-on prediction rzrbkfan69.

Certainly a tough loss to take.  In fact, I had a really bad nightmare after the Hogs played the Crimson Tide.  I kept seeing haunting images of Ingram and Richardson bulldozing over tacklers and scoring touchdowns over and over again.  Oh wait…that was just last weekend’s Alabama-Florida game.  Never mind.

So here we go:

Texas A&M AggiesWalking on Sunshine: After watching A&M implode with wild turnovers and sacks against Oklahoma State last week, I’m feeling pretty good about this one.  Mallett and the Hogs’ receivers work the Aggies zone coverage, while the law firm of Bequette, Wright and Ambrose pressure the edge all day.  Arkansas 44, Texas A&M 24.

HogBaller: The Hogs prove that they’ve put the Alabama loss behind them as they get off to a fast start in Dallas.  The defense and special teams continue to play solid.  And, unfortunately for A&M, the Razorback offense shows up for all four quarters.  Arkansas 48, Texas A&M 17.

HogBlogger: Air-Arkansas with a defense is too much for the Aggies.  Hogs roll in Jerryland.  Arkansas 38, Texas A&M 17.

TipsterHog: Mike Sherman appears to be slowly returning respectability to a proud A&M program.  But the Farmers still aren’t ready for a fight against the SEC.  Arkansas 35, Texas A&M 13.

Leave a comment with your name, e-mail address and pick.  And feel free to add your own take like “Sherman burns down JerryWorld…teams play in parking lot” or “BTHO Aggies.  Hogs roll.”

Aggies want to be in SEC 28

Wish I was going to this game as it looks to be a great time for Hog fans but it's up to T-towner to represent the family and Call the Hogs!

  2. HungryHog says:

We have learned that we must play four quarters. Georgia tried to come back, bama did. Hogs play great for 4 quarters on Saturday. We really are that good. Bama got lucky. Saturday is the day we start on the road to real national attention. Back into the top 10. Showdown on the Plains coming…

    Hogs 48

    Texas A&M 10

  3. OwassoHog says:

Hogs find mojo and romp in Big D! Hogs 42-24. SEC rules Big 12..11…10!!!

  4. Brandon says:

The Hogs get it done early in the game, but A&M make a comback late in the game. Although it's not enough.

    Arkansas – 35

    Texas A&M – 21

  5. Carolina Hog says:

34-24. Knile Davis and Cobi Hamilton step up and give us a look at the future.

  6. TXKHOG says:

    Hogs 38

    Aggies 12

  7. Mike in Magnolia says:

The Hogs are out to prove they are a top 5 team. They put together a total team effort on both sides of the ball.

Hogs rush for 192 yards and Mallett throws for 310

    Hogs 35

    Aggies 28

  8. NielsBoar says:

I am going to this game, so I'm trying to prepare myself mentally to have a good time with my family even if the Hogs lose…

35 – 31 Aggies. A&M storms back in the 4th as we prove again that we cannot put teams away.

HOGS WILL PUT OUT THE HORSES AND BRING HOME THE WIN—-HOGS 41 A&M 17

    • HognTX says:

There is only one team in Texas with a winning record against the Razorbacks, and it isn't A&M. Hogs do what they do, and look good doing it this week.

  9. uvahog says:

    Ark: 31

The hogs take care of business with an eye towards next week.

  10. HogNEdmond says:

Hogs are ready to get back to business.

    Hogs 45

    Aggies 24

  11. Dyeinghog says:

I think the Hogs come out and set the paste early. Ryan and Co put the game away in the first half making way for TW and BM to see playing time in the second half Hogs 38-10. 28-3 @ the end of the first half.

  12. bvhog says:

I heard Greg Childs is questionable for the game – anyone know anything about this?

  13. T-towner says:

I plan to keep my shirt on Saturday just in case I get on the Jumbotron Saturday, thereby representing the family well. If the same Aggie coed does the same thing she did last year, I will have to concede that she will have two-upped me (a variation of one-upping)!

That is about the only chance the Aggies have to show well at Jerry World:

    Arkansas Razorbacks 49

    Texas Farmers 17

  14. Michael S. says:

I will be thee and when I am there it's always close

    Ark 45 12th man 44

Petrino has the hogs ready and hungry for another win.

    Hogs 49

    Aggies 10

  16. ThaHill says:

    Ark – 56

Expect a whoopin…. As Head Coach Bobby Petrino prophesied- we will not take our foot off the gas until the games over…. Bring on the over rated war eagles/tigers

  19. Knile Davis gets over a hundred yards in front of his family. We get 6 sacks and 3 interceptions. Much like last year, A&M will be able to move the ball. Arkansas 52 Texas A&M 24

  20. GolfHog says:

    11-1 starts with a BANG! Arkansas 52-14

  21. CallTheHogs says:

Razorbacks get back on track in JerryLand!

    Hogs – 48

    A&M – 20

  22. InfantryHog says:

I think that the Mallett train will rip through Dallas like a tornado through a trailer park.

Mallet learned his lesson against Alabama so there will only be 2 interceptions at most. Running game gets a lil better with more carries and longer yards. Passing game will still be phenomenal. I see it being over with by end of 3rd quarter.

    Hogs: 32

    aTm : 12

  23. GonzoHog says:

SEC Games are won and lost down in the trenches, in which the little 12 Aggies are soon to find out.

I honestly doubt it will be this close, but just in case the Aggies are lucky enough to make a game of it early on, Hogs – 38, Aggies – 17.

  24. hogfan12 says:

    Hogs 41

    Aggies 20

I believe our razorbacks our just a more talented team than the aggies. Hogs dominate from the start.

  27. hoglar69 says:

we have a resume to build. let's start by beating the 6th biggest team in Texas.

    Hogs 51

    Aggs 17

I'm really pissed off that I won't be able to see this game in full, but playoff baseball takes precedence as I'll be in the stadium across the parking lot.

  31. HognTX says:

Aggies roll their bowling ball, (which is a 3-holed brick) and the Hogs win 47-24. TRAFFIC UPDATE: Since I live down here by Dallas, I have to tell the travelers to the game using I-30, expect delays coming into Dallas around the outskirts of Greenville (short delays 1 lane), then right after that 5-7 miles or so, 1 lane construction then before you get into Rockwall before Dallas 1 lane and a lot longer delay. There is a lot of construction taking place approximately from Greenville into the Garland/Mesquite area. So be patient or plan ahead for the delays. Go Hogs !

  32. HOG FAN n MOBILE AL says:

    HOGS 41

    AGGIES 17

GO HOGS !!! I AM CONFIDENT IN OUR TEAM THIS YR AND READY FOR EM TO COME TO ALABAMA AND BEAT AUBURN GOOD TOO! SOOOIEEE PIG!

  33. Ward_Hog says:

52-30 hogs win in a lopsided affair. Defensive reserves allow late tds. WPS!

  35. Guinness Snout says:

If the OSU game is any indication:

    Hogs 56, Aggies 45

  36. Hmm…

I knew my house was divided on this game, but I didn't realize how divided I was until I read "BTHO Aggies!"…TipsterHog. Props on the button-pushing, my friend.

I'm going into this one tomorrow mentally prepared to watch the Hogs win. I'll probably even Woo Pig! a time or two during pre-game. That said, I'm sure all it will take is hearing those first two glorious notes of the "Aggie War Hymn" blast out and I'll be gigging 'em like crazy with the rest of the 12th Man!

In the end I think it will come down to whether or not the Aggies can keep from turning the ball over. If JJ can remember which team he's supposed to throw to and keep from putting the ball on the ground, A&M has a chance to pull off the upset. If he's off his game, well, it's gonna get real ugly real fast.

    Hogs 35

    Aggies 24

P.S. Fightin' Texas Aggie Band wins halftime by a landslide.

  37. smedlap says:

    A&M – 33

    Hogs – 27

Hogs poor running game hurts ball control. Gives Aggies time to gain momentum in second half. Hogs defense then breaks down in fourth quarter.

I hope my glass half empty views fail.

    Go Hogs!

  38. AZ Desert Hog says:

Hogs bring the D to Big D. Johnson is sacked 6 times, hurried another dozen, and throws 3 ints as a result. Hogs figure out that Knile Davis is the rb that they should be feeding the carries to. Queue up those lame old Aggie jokes that are still somehow kinda funny…

    Hogs 38
