Congratulations to NewYorkHogFan for the closest prediction last week of 38-20. His quote: “South Carolina has a history of fading late in the season. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that we win easily. Garcia will throw 3 picks. Lattimore is a little banged up and we will contain him.”
Dang NewYorkHogFan…that score and prediction is pretty ‘scary close’ to reality. The only nitpick I can make is that you must have thought Hocker wasn’t going to make the longest field goal by a Razorback since 1988??? C’mon man! Ha…just kidding…good job, NYHF.
Here we go:
Walking on Sunshine: Despite UTEP’s offensive studs QB Trevor Vittatoe and RB Donald Buckram, the Hogs should have little trouble with the Miners. A comfortable lead should allow plenty of chances for the second teamers. The only thing “rolling” on Saturday will be the Hogs. Arkansas 48, UTEP 19.
HogBaller: The Razorbacks get a much-needed break from the SEC grind. Hogs get out in front early and put this one away by halftime. Arkansas 48, UTEP 13.
HogBlogger: Hogs need to take this one seriously, dominate…and then let the two’s get a lot of minutes. Arkansas 52, UTEP 17.
TipsterHog: Hogs need to keep last Saturday’s momentum going and send the Miners home . Arkansas 38, UTEP 10.
Leave a comment with your name, e-mail address and pick. And feel free to add your own take like “Razorback band plays Marty Robbins songs at halftime” or “Miners axed. Hogs roll.”

Hogs 52
UTEP 17
Hogs roll to easy homecoming win and hopefully stay healthy for these last two tough games
Cold but fun final home game yields at 51-10 Hog victory!!!
Bobby hasn't used these games to run up the score or get flashy. He just wins them and moves on.
Hogs 35
UTEP 14
I agree with Hungry Hog about noe running up the score.
Hogs 46
UTEP 6
I live just outside of El Paso and I hate this place. I am here until I retire and I am moving back to Fort Smith. I hope it's blow out like 77-0.
Mike: I went to school at UTEP when I was in the Army (at that time it was Texas Western College) I had some very good instructors and have a warm spot for UTEP and at that time I had even thought of trying to walk on in basketball (LOL, very, very LOL, as they say). In those days Juarez was a lot of fun, not a shooting gallery. The view into the setting sun towards Monte Cristo just behind the school was fantastically beautiful. Now the mountainside is crowded with ugly favelas. El Paso was interesting but I wanted to get back to my woods and waters. I don't think that Arkansas will run up the score for style points and the Miners have a dangerous passing attack. 41-21. (for a western team in CUSA, 41 is not running up the score – and UTEP will probably get it's points late) BP will probably be hiding somethings, besides resting Mallet, Davis, Adams. and others. The Bulldog-Bama game will probably tell the Hogs what to expect next week. I think the point spread is too high. MSU has a good defense, but can they score on Bama? Let's see how MSU's QBs do. The scheduale is very good for the Hogs. LSU has ole Miss before the game in Little Rock. Don't let the Rebs record mislead, the LSU game has long been an historic rivalry game. Nutt will be trying to save his reputation and maybe playing for a bowl game. I believe the Hogs will let it all hang out for LSU and I don't think that Miles has enough tricks left in his bag to outscore the 'Backs. I'm thinking 10-2 for Arkanss and a position in or near the top ten.
Hogs, 42-24
Coach will have the first string out there so R Mallett can get yet another 300 yard passing game on his resume. Tyler Wilson and Co. come in the game around the 3rd quarter for mop-up duty.
Arkansas 45
UTEP 14
I think Ryan will run it up for a quarter or two and then Tyler Wilson will continue to do the same and we can defintily run the next to games if Ryan plays smart and the d keeps on swarming to the ball. Ark. 64-3
Hogs 47
UTEP 0
@oldskooljt — this is not homecoming. Vandy was the homecoming game.
And I say wewon't give up more than 10 points this game as our defense showed a big improvement against S.C. compared to the start of Vandy (and ended that game very well, too, for that matter).
I say 49-10.
Doh!!! See what happens when you live out of state!
It may not be homecomeing, but it is senior day and the last game in Fayetteville. Should be worth some enthusiasm, at least not to lose.
Hogs win 61 Utep 21- this is my score-
My son Collin says Hogs 72 Utep 0
What can I say?
Coach Price checks out the high society, gentlemen's clubs of North College Avenue and immediately resigns and moves to NWA! Too bad he isn't still at Bama to create a diversion for Auburn and the Uncandid Cam.
Hogs 59
Miners 13
My predict score is up over at the Fayetteville Flyer. But here are the basics:
Arkansas Razorbacks 49
UTEPs 17
Hogs – 52
UTEP – 6
Hogs put the Miners underground. (insert drumroll and eye-rolling here)
Ark 50
UTEP 10
I say it's 45-13 The Hogs
I think everyone gets in and plays
I want everyone to play hard, and NOT look ahead to Mississippi st
Well, I know this entry is on football, but I'm stoked because the sport who lets the athletes decide the championship gets its first radio broadcast tonight – albeit an exhibition game. Let's go hogs – you can win your way into the NCAA tourney and not have to worry about the opinions of a bunch of sports writers – most of whom consider Arkansas a SEC outsider.
Woo Pig – they say the SEC is still weak on the court. Let's run the table!
Oh, and I meant to add,
Arkansas 56
UTEP 10
UTEP: 10
UA: 45
Hogs: 49
UTEP: 13
Hogs take care of business.
Hogs get a breather. Price gets to visit a NWA strip club.
Pigs – 41
uteps – 9
I think the Hogs have to be careful. The Miners are not just here to collect a paycheck; they think they can win. We will be a bit sluggish because we are looking ahead to Mississippi State. The Hogs will be up by only 6 at halftime and will have to play the starters into the 2nd half. Arkansas 31 UTEP 17.
Hope the Hogs are on fire to provide some warmth to what promises to be a chilly evening for the fans!
Hogs 56
UTEP 14
Should be out of reach by halftime. Tyler plays well enough that a few delusional fans suggest he should start against Miss. St.
Hogs 55
UTEP 20
Winner, winner….chicken dinner!
BMFP-52
UTEP-10
Arkansas: 62
UTEP: 24
UTEP might have had good instructors years ago but my report comes from a recent professor who left for another university because he said it academically has inferior instructors who have other things on their minds other than training the entire student body. He said they have a real bias against certain people. I take his word for it. Go Hogs!
I just don't see UTEP stopping us on the O side of the ball. Whether it be the 1st team, 2nd team offense, I think we score over and over and over. UTEP scores late to make it respectible.
Hogs 51
UTEP 20
It's goin' be Ugly. Arkansas 55-29
